Tips on getting affiliates for my first CB product?

Hello everyone! I'm new to the warrior forum, and somewhat new to internet marketing, but I've been learning from the absolute best.

I've just gotten my first product approved to clickbank, and I'm very proud of it I had an excellent copywriter and the product is extremely solid.

So... I'm now looking for affiliates. I'm wondering what the warrior forum thinks: what's the best way to go about looking for and recruiting affiliates? my product is in the health / skin care niche (eczema). Do you guys have any advice, tips or tricks about this, particularly in this niche?

I remember reading a WSO once that talked about using bloggers in your niche and making them into affiliates. You can do something like that. Marketing on blogs will totally get your product out there too.

The more you promote your product naturally the more likely you are to get affiliates. It's the conversions that talk and drive action you know? Best of luck with your clickbank product.

Keep in mind that one superaffiliate who brings you five sales a day is worth much more than 100 who bring you one sale per month.

That said, try to get lots of affiliates so that if one stops marketing your product, you've diversified enough to keep a steady income stream.

On clickbank affiliates usually look at the gravity when determining which products they will promote. So try to get some sales on your own first to show affiliates the product does actually sell. You can also provide a free report showing would be affiliates the money making potential of your product. This always works great.

Another option is to pay to have it show up on the right side of the marketplace page under sponsored links. Also try to provide as much marketing material as you can. Articles, emails, giveway reports, keywords etc. This makes the affiliates job a lot easier.

Find Facebook groups about aff.offers and post your JV Page
Do a contest (this works really well).
Do not allow everyone to promote your product. Make a selection or your stats will suffer and you will lose "big promoters".( Doing this will also avoid problems of fraud).
Search affiliates forums to promote your product (both general and specific to your niche, in this case health).

You'll find many WSO with this secret but here you have it for free: Search blogs about your topic and negotiates a price to place your ad

    Good Luck!

I noticed a lot of people who create WSOs tend to give 100% commission to affiliates in order to get as many affiliates as possible and slowly decrease the commission once the affiliates start promoting.

Not sure if that works for Clickbank as well. Either way, I would look for bloggers or people with established websites in your niche and contact them asking if they would like to promote your product. I would also recommend creating image ads for your product and sending them to your affiliates to make things easier.

    Just my 2 cents.

  • Find people who are already promoting Clickbank type products on their sites and talk to them about adding your products to the mix. It's just that simple. Go one step further and offer to write a high quality article for the blog. This would not be a promotional article or in any way spam related. The point of the article is to dig under the surface to uncover your potential customer's needs and offer several solutions, including your product as one of them.

GETTING affiliates is something I'm not experienced in so I'm not going to say something that may steer you in the wrong direction.

Now, ATTRACTING affiliates is something I can offer advice on since I've been a CB affiliate going on 6 years now.

In a nutshell, this is what would attract me into promoting a product (new or established):

1.) No leaks. In other words, NOT having opt in boxes on the sales page. Many affiliates stay away from promoting products that they generate traffic for... only for that traffic to end up on someone else's list.

    2.) Attractive sales page.

3.) Reasonable commission percentage (IMO this would be anything 60% and over).

    4.) Low refund percentage.

5.) Seller is easily contacted with affiliate questions or concerns.

6.) And of course... a quality product.

I am currently building an Affiliate program for my Online Visitor Traffic service. Here is the exact method that I am using to bring Affiliates on board to sell this service. I would think you would be able to use a similar strategy with an actual product as well.

      1. Advertise anywhere and everywhere to sign up Affiliates: On WF, Craigslist, Backpage, Manta, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and other posting sites just to name a few.

      2. Offer a great commission plan with immediate payout: When an Affliate sells my service they earn a one-time commission of $25 per new client they sign up for my service that is paid via Paypal within 24 hours. Even better, I am paying ongoing commissions month after month to Affiliates for the duration that the client uses my service. I also review their performance and increase their payout according to their results.

      3. Provide the Affiliate with all sales tools with no start-up or upfront costs: I give them everything they need to succeed like "cut and paste" high-conversion ads, all logos and artwork to use, and most importantly their own unique URL link that clicks to their dedicated sales page which is a replicated main landing page with exact sales copy of the service and a PayPal "Buy Now" button. They are able to go through two methods with this approach to acquire both online and offline clients and in effect are full representatives of this service.

      4. If you attract more knowledgeable Affiliates with a proven track record of marketing and advertising achievements then pay them more per customer acquired. I have brought on several Senior Affiliates and started them at $30 per new client since they are using online paid tactics like cost per action and have global reach.

This should give you some ideas and by the way I am still recruiting Affiliates to market JiffyHits.com service if anyone viewing this post would like to join. It is an easy sell and consistent money for those who have an interest. Check out my site at:JiffyHits.com then PM me, Email me at jiffyhits@gmail.com or call me directly at 912-434-9363.

      Thanks-Mike

A few people have said join Facebook groups which have affiliate's in them and that is true – vendors gathering together in Facebook groups are great to look out for. But the next step in this process is to actively talk to people, and get to know them. When the opportunity presents itself, Private message them, and then I like to ask for their Skype address. I keep a record of significant conversations as well as Skype details and the person's name on an Excel spreadsheet. Because I know I am going to forget what we talked about in three months time when maybe we'll talk again.

You can also make a note on the same spreadsheet. If this person is a serious potential JV, or if they are a beginner, or whatever.

So, yes – join Facebook groups, but then take an active part and record who you have spoken to or your forget
