If it's from day 1 to day 9, your open rate is gradually tanking. Not good.

If it's ranging from email 1 to email 9, then you already got your answer what works best. Just improve on that.

Try to give something free with a high value (maybe a good PLR pack) the 3th day also work on the subject lines of the days 5 to 9.

Are u adding a PS? This is a cool trick to increase the open rates

    Regards!

Subject lines are important, but a PS will do nothing for your open rate (in that email) as if they don't open it, they can't see the PS!

I suspect you are confusing open rates with click rates - a good PS can certainly help improve the latter.

Similarly, giveaways have no effect on the open rates of the email they are in - unless well flagged in the subject line. They can affect future open rates though.

Sorry if I was unclear. I was referring to the offer that built the list. Obviously anything contained within the email won't affect open rates.

Subject lines and relationships are what do that.

...and remember that a lot of people don't like to receive promotional emails on a daily basis. Make sure that there is a decent interval between emails.

There are so many different variables what could be happening. All you are giving is percentages.

How many of those days are you trying to sell something?

The days you are not are you giving your prospect valuable information so they will be looking forward to your email the next day.

Are you putting some curiosity and a benefit in the subject line to show they're going to get an advantage to open?

It really depends on how you use your list and how you built it. If those are open rates from subscribers you got from buying a solo from a burned out list, you are doing OK.

If you are hammering them with offers every day right off the bat same thing.

From other places maybe not so much.

How was your free offer if there was one?

Are you starting out by getting them to like and trust you? In other words, a few emails not banging them over the head with sales but giving them some useful free information and maybe a little bit of background about you?

How about linking to your best posts, for example?

I don't start doing much selling at all until email four once someone is added to any of my lists.
