Clickbank "Uncashed Check" Email - Phishing Attempt?

I got an email about an unclaimed check from 2008 which otherwise looks legit.

It contains links to hxxp:// cl.exct.net/?qs=LONG NUMBER

But clicking at any of the links goes to clickbank.

I am stumped here since I normally don't have a problem recognizing phishing emails, in this case I am entirely unsure whether this is legit or not.

(In my case it is likely that a check in the mentioned time couldn't be cashed since I moved, and the amount seems right also)

The exct.net domain name appears to be registered to Exact Target, which appears to be a legitimate business.

So, if that's the URL the eMail takes you to, and the mentioned check amount seems to be legit, and you think you might not have deposited said check, I would guess it's legit.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

Clickbank does mail out unclaimed check emails - I've gotten them - but I think it's either 3 or 6 months max from the check date. If it says 2008 it's probably not real.
