I don't really WANT to format/reinstall - Any suggestions, warriors!?

I got hit by some malware stuff..

"Malware Doctor" it says - but not the one that looks like a legit windows app, but a rather crude looking rogue program (mostly black/gray/red)..
It blocks the task-manager & regedit, but i already found a solution to that problem. The running process is called 12334544576.exe (some random digits) and i believe it also installs a process called "avast!Antivirus.exe" (since i never ever installed the real avast software).

Thing is, i simply can't get rid of it. Here's what i tried:

MBAM, Superantispyware, Spybot s&d.

Tried both, normal execution & in safemode.
Manually deleted the 153463463.exe's, disabled system restore, etc.

Any clues!? Perhaps one of you also had to deal with this annoying lil' bugger in the past and found a solution.. that'd be awesome!

Thanks for your time!
Cheers,
Chris.

    Chris,

I've been in your shoes (unfortunately) twice in the last 3 months on 2 different computers. I did have a nasty trojan with a very similar name. I finally found this website -> elitekiller dot com. I downloaded their FREE rogue removal kit. I was amazed at the level of knowledge this guy John has and his step-by-step instructions were easy to understand. Basically, I followed the 14 step process using a dozen different anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc. (all free) The only step I didn't use was the Hijack This (Major Geeks) I was fortunate that I didn't have to use this one. Even, when I thought that my computer was clean - I did the last step - which was John's recommended online scanner and it found 18 more viruses!

So, total time for above was 1 hr 15 min. and I figured it would have been at least 4 hrs to backup, reformat, and reinstall windows and all my apps!!!

    Sparky
