Advice for hypercompetitive industry

What are some techniques to differentiate yourself in a very competitive industry such as personal injury law. Currently, I have developed social media pages on Facebook, Twitter and G+. I hired a content writer to produce 100 keyword optimized articles. I populated a few Q&A websites with links back to my site.

I have a minimum budget for Adwords and the bids are above $10 for some of the best keywords.

Does anyone have any creative suggestions I can use?

If you're doing SEO, start by finding ways in which you can target smaller niches within your broad personal injury niche. How else to people search for personal injury lawyers? What other words are used when they are looking for one of those companies?

Also, in the case of lawyers, community outreach can go a long way. Find ways to promote yourself locally by sponsoring events.

That's one of the most competitive niche's out there. Honestly, unless you have an incredibly large budget its going to be difficult to compete well against the bigger names by just using conventional SEO tactics.

Like Ryan said, do local outreach.

For ads, target the cheaper keywords. They may not have as much of traffic heading towards them but it'll save you a few bucks.

Careful with populating the Q&A sites with links, that could backfire and damage you.

Client testimonials can be huge in this area. Not enough to hear from a firm or lawyer about their claims, way better to hear from actual clients that had cases solved to their satisfaction.

    Hi,

    Came across your question.

This is what I would do. Go the SEO way. Adwords are way to expensive for this kind of search.

I would invest not in the content of the site (it does not matter unfortunately, just Googles crap). But some high-quality backlinks from high-quality sites (high PR, PA, etc). Much cheaper in the long run.

Or, if you take it real serious (and long-term) go ahead and build your own high PR network.

Any questions, feel free to PM me.

    Good luck!

what to do what to do. If all else fails you think out of the box. Got Kids? Blog about youth soccer or something. Keep the content and focus community related. and advertise your business there.

There are times you don't have to stay in the market, to reach the market!

SEO is a scam and a 100% complete waste of time and money. Everything you have done so far is wasted. But, that's OK.

What is the goal, here? Are you a lawyer? Are you selling leads? Are you trying to scam Google into "ranking" your site for "keywords" in hopes of getting some clicks on your AdSense?

If you are either a lawyer or selling leads, you can make a boat load of money. If you are doing AdSense...well, good luck.

I operate in a hyper-competetive industry and do extremely well. Why?

Because, I have found that the high paying industries are full of people with deep pockets, and horrible marketing skills.

You can kill them by being a better marketer. And you can get all of the traffic you can handle from AdWords. And you can get it today.

I get my clicks for less than 25% of what "top businesses in similar categories" pay, and I have a CTR that is 3 times higher than "top businesses in similar categories".

That's the beauty of AdWords...they reward you for being good, and penalize your competetion for being bad.
