Is anyone using Ning for paid membership forum?

We are putting together a forum that will be a paid membership area. We had set up at ning, because it was easy ~ but now realizing there's no way to control access if people cancel their membership other than to delete their entire profile ~ which will lead to large gaps in conversations ~ I would think.

Has anyone used Ning in this way, and/or do you have any suggestions for creating a membership site forum.

      I'm a member of a group that uses Ning, and from a member point of view it is very easy to navigate. I like it a lot. I know that wasn't exactly what you're looking for, but that is all I know.
