If You Just Sold 1 Item to .001% of Surfers

So I have been crunching some numbers now for the past few days just to figure out how profitable the internet really is for a few people.

Little factoid here over 674,392,948,394 people surf the internet.

Now lets just say you are able to get an un godly low number of those viewers. I am going to use .001% for this example.

With only receiving .001% of all surfers to your site that is 674,392.948394 visitors to your site.

Now out of those visitors we are able to get .1% of them to buy your product or click your adsense ad you have a total of 674.392948394 absolute unique visitors.

So if your product or adsense clicks only made you 1.00 per sale or click you made 674.39$ but most of us I know I do I have many products many offers many adsense pages and sites. My products also average between 5-100 with some of them being subscriptions. So we are going to say I averaged my sales at around 30.00$ with out the adsense since we know the adsense clicks are going to be alot higher. An average of 30.00$ a sale for the absolute unique visitors of 674 now just made you 20231.79$

This is excluding the adsense clicks you may have recieved. Now lets just say out of the 674,392.948394 total visitors you received 10% of them clicked on of the adsense ads on your page. So that is 67,439.2948394 clicks on your adsense ads.

We are going to average your pay out per click and lets just say 30 cents. So at 30cents for 67,439.2948394 adsense clicks you just made another 20231.79$ This is ofcourse leavig out the fact that with adsense you also make money for showing the ads so many times. Best of my knowledge here it is about .01 cents for each 1000 views. Atleast this is what I am getting for my none clicked adsense ad shows for the time being on one of my sites. So with out actually giving a total number here you have already made 40k for just adsense ad clicks and 674 product average sale of 30 each.

I would post the number I came up with how ever you would be astonished at how much you can make for none clicks for your adsense ads per 1000 views. Which my number came up with over 6mil a year just to show your ads on your site. Ofcourse I used base numbers to simplify things for others here.

Now if I would have known this about adsense and websites Iwould have started my websites years ago. I know I my self have a long ways to go to hit those numbers with my site only ranking around 2mil on alexa and only having around 300 current back links to the site. I also just recently started doing this as alot of others here becuase of lay offs. So I am years behind alot of people out there.

How ever I do think I am off to a good start with the 300 backlinks since I only started the site in around january. I also just recently started hitting the article sites to building my back links. So I do see this as being a great start. Before building my back links I was using link market dot com . Yes it was building me back links how ever I now build 4 to 10 back links aday just writing articles. With my current alexa ranking moving up daily now. I had to check to see what it was at since I have not checked it in a few weeks. This is my current alexa ranking 1,986,622 if anyone would like to add to this please feel free. Also since I am somewhat of a noob still even though I have done affiliate marketing before just not on this scale or with my own website. If you have any other tips besides continue to build up the articles with back links and social book marking and makeing sure I keep updating the blog with fresh new content. I would be much abliged and thank you in advance.

I would also like to point out that I recently just started with a new niche soaking in all the info I have obtained over these past few months and applied it to that page/site and in 2 weeks I have over 120 backlinks to that site. Which does hurt my main site. however since it is a subdomain it is still building the alexa rankingto my main site.

That number is internet surfers not the population. This is also the world surfers not just one country or the other. I found a rough number like that on another tred somewhere. I could not find the trend again but i did remember how many numbers they had and the first 3 numbers they had I just made up the rest of the numbers. Just so that that is clear.

I just did a google search not too sure of how accurate the site itself is http://www.internetworldstats.com/stats.htm

I also do believe that the numbers they have are one per house hold not taking in the facts of all the people who do not have the internet and go to the library to use the internet. Also the fact that for most house holds you will have atleast 2 different people surfing the internet. If they have kids ages say 8-18 they also use from the same house. So the numbers are going to be skewed drasticly I know at my house alone we have 6 people who all use the same internet connection. I also know even having a some what small family Between us alone we have over 200 people surfing the internet just in my family here in the illinois area alone. I do not know of the others in different statesmy self. Thats just 2 last names and not knowing complete ansestory facts
