Making a 'Pre-WordPress' Test site THEN transferring it to WordPress... any tips??

Hi All...
I'm making a new website and eventually want it to be in the WordPress format. However I want to do a few different designs and split test them first so I will be making a 'fake' Wordpress landing page (ie I'll be making four different landing pages that LOOK like a Wordpress page that once I've worked out the most profitable landing page then I'll transfer the content to a real WordPress set up).

My first question is what are the ESSENTIAL technical elements you need to include on a website when you launch it (ie Site Map, menu, list of categories, articles etc) so to make a good impression on Google for SEO etc

My second question is can you successfully transfer the content of a non-wordpress website to the wordpress format and retain the impression you made with Google etc?

Your thoughts are always appreciated,
Beaumont

The attributes it appears you're looking for in a site ARE in a WordPress site. By making your site twice conventional wisdom would say you are making yourself uneccessary work, but of course your mileage may vary.
