Question about having two sites/blogs

Okay, so I'm currently running a motivation/travel site and want to post travel blogs on there ... but I also want to publish these posts on an actual personal blog of my own, on a different domain

Will just copy + pasting the entries from my blog onto the other blog in the travel journal section be of a disadvantage at all? Or should I just post a short snipped on my actual blog with a link to the full version on the other site?

Disadvantage being, will my SEO be affected or will Google penalise me in anyway (in regards to AdSense)?

Your SEO won't be affected - 25-30% of web content is duplicate, in any case. Only one version of the content will be shown in the SERPs (generally speaking).

I dunno if that would impact AdSense or not.

Why you want two websites with same content .I guess it is not recommended by search engines now .

If you looking to increase your revenue ,try affiliate marketing ,selling ad space on your website ,sell your writing services.

      Thanks

The safest bet on this is to simply write that you have gone over this topic before on your other blog, and here is a link to the article. be sure to use a new tab link and all is good.

The truth is, you can duplicate the content. Just understand that the 2nd page ( copy ) will not be indexed in the search engines. That in itself is the "penalty"

I personally would go with the first option. It can only help you by linking your 2 sites together in this manner.

With all the sites and blogs that offer rss feeds/ xml feeds etc, I don't think it will cause any issues. I haven't noticed it anyway and I use my sites rss feed to post on a blog and a link to the full post.

Although it won't affect the SEO. having only one blog with all the content has better SERP result as i tested ...

Ok thanks for the responses guys. It was merely just an idea, was not actually even considering doing it unless the responses were overwhelmingly in the favour of there actually being an advantage, which there doesn't seem to be.
