You have to research any niche to see if it will be profitable. Just because you like it doesn't mean there is enough interest for you to make money.

See if there are books online about it, check out Amazon for books, ebooks, and other products. Check Clickbank, JV Zoo, and Commission Junction to see if there are affiliate products out there that you can sell.

You can also check Google Trends, and Google Adwords to see if people are searching for keywords you are thinking about.

From the three you mentioned, though, I'd say the one about how to sleep better would be your best bet, as people who can't sleep are really looking for a solution that works.

    Good luck!

As Monica says, research the topics.

Better sleep definitely - everything from Clickbank products through to pillows and mattresses.

Board games - it would depend what you could add to the topic but there would be potential sales of the board games and the apps of the board games.

Wild survival: again, there are products out there that you could sell and survival is a passionate niche.

With any of those options, your enthusiasm and knowledge will play a part and there will also be persistence involved.

There's a lot of money in the better sleep niche. Easy to find content for as well, because studies are being released practically every day. Lots of products running the gambit from ebooks, pillows, herbal teas, supplements and even nutrition advice.

Of those three "better sleep" is definitely the winner. Mark pointed out some good ways to monetize. It's also a problem niche. Not being able to sleep is definitely annoying and people are willing to hand over some money to be able to solve it.

Some other ideas to monetize: MATRESSES (big $), audio files, and building a list (give a way a free ebook '10 Easy Changes that will help you sleep better Tonight'

See.. I would go with the board game niche. probably lower hanging fruit. Get an iTunes affiliation going, and some amazon product rolling... and before you know it YATZEE!

seriously though. That in my eyes would be the easy winner

connect with the ADULTS inner child, buy the same games for YOUR kids...

        no doubt board games...

Insomnia is a bit saturated, but you'll probably have quite a few products you can promote.

The other two sound good as well, but remember to take note of as to whether they get enough traffic to make a decent amount of money from.

There are many natural health products which you can promote and many of these are big sellers. I make a lot from a natural adhd supplement for kids.

You can find health companies that offer good lifetime commissions on affiliate sales.

I think all of these have a good possibility of succeeding. Just work on what you like and you'll start making money from it eventually. If you enjoy it there is a much better possibility that you'll succeed because you won't get burned out nearly as quickly because you'll like researching and writing about the topics.

Nowadays with Twitter, Facebook, Google+, ect you can make a site in pretty much any niche and your audience will find you. You can also target your audience on Twitter by following people that talk about or follow others in your niche. Take reviewing wild survival TV shows for example, go look at the people following Les Stroud and then follow them. Since you're writing about something they obviously enjoy, they'll most likely follow you back, and continue following you, while hyping up your content to their friends. Just make sure you're producing good content about something you all enjoy and you're in. And you can use this for absolutely any niche.

You can then monetize it by using Amazon promotions in the articles advertising popular products in the niche. Take survival TV shows again for example, when you’re reviewing a survivorman episode, include a link to watch it on Amazon Prime or to buy the Survivorman 10 Day DVD on the Amazon store. And again, this works for pretty much any niche.

You can also use Youtube, if you like making videos which will bring you in even more traffic more quickly. Facebook groups are also an option which you can use by commenting on frequently, which will help you receive more likes. Or talk about it on forums and blogs that relate to your niche and link back to your site when it’s relevant. You’ll probably also start getting traffic from Google within the first few months boosting your audience numbers even further.

If you work hard and get creative, you can build a site in pretty much any niche, and the possibilities are endless.
