Best banner ad to use??

Hi warriors! I am thinking about getting into banner advertising on a
few websites and was wondering what size gives the most response?
  • Banner (468x60)
  • Leaderboard (728x90)
  • Medium rectangle (300x250)
  • Skyscraper (120x600)
  • Wide skyscraper (160x600)
I hear a lot about the 300x250 but also hear that sky scraper 120x600
can out perform the rectangle ad....Im sorry for the newb questions. Any help will be much appreciated

    i would say the skyscraper is very popular. but then it would also depend on your design, on what would suit best.

      In my experience, on my blog the 300x250 banner is by far the most responsive plus it's also usually located next to the content or in the central area of the sidebar. In the other hand, 468x60 has never performed well for me, specially if located at the header.
