The truth is that the Warrior Forum WSO section has moved away from the WSO original concept and, over time, it's become more of a paid listing service. Not necessarily bad in my opinion.

I have seen that a few times lately, don't know what's up with that. Maybe the term WSO is just becoming so common that people are starting to call money making products WSOs even when they really aren't. It's also possible that some people are trying to pull a fast one, not really sure.

People in this industry are notoriously bad about appropriating and misusing terms.

If it isn't hosted in the WSO section of this site, it's not a "WSO." While you'd probably need to speak with a lawyer for more authoritative comment, I suspect using the term for any other sort of offer violates Allen's trademark.

A lot of times they are just hosting on one of the instant pay programs. Its getting to the point that people are veering off the WF and putting out their ads on these platforms and giving the impression they are WSO's or they just get considered WSO because it was someone who used to put out a lot of WSO's. Not to good for the WF.

Not to good for the WF.

That's a trademark issue, and I have zero standing to get involved in those. That's Allen's space.

My advice on this has changed. If it says "WSO" in the subject or body of an email (or the From) and it doesn't link to this forum, you should just report it as spam.

I've had quite a few emails like this over the last few months. I always presumed there was a corresponding WSO thread here on the forum, but sometimes I do get sent straight to a sales page elsewhere.

My guess is that he has launched the same product on the WF before and now releasing it as a standalone product for a higher price. Quite common practice to 'own' your own real estate for your money making assets.

That faux WF feel is a PSD template from a graphics pack I've seen...don't see any problem there re. infringements.

We get clients all the time who want to 'be different' - it's all good if there are good intentions behind it in my books!

I have noticed this and at first I sort of missed it but when I scrolled down to the bottom there is no contact information, no help desk, nothing, So I am right away thinking hmmm, this seems like a little miss leading,

I still thought about making a purchase but in the end the lack of contact information and no real way to validate feedback from other buyers made the difference, but also the deceptive method used by the affiliate in question.

The way I look at it if there is deception involved at the beginning its not a good sign, but the biggest thing was no contact info.

Just a straight sales page, with video not bad all in all but if I cant ask a question forget it.
