Hostgator down again?

Anyone else's hostgator site down? I was working on it and suddenly nothing can be connected to anymore.

    Hostgator has been having more issues than I could count very recently with their uptime. I have still to find another host. I have looked into liquid web or namecheap as my hosting solution. Both I have heard great reviews on.

    Now off to check my site to see what's up.

    I used to use GVO but was having lots of downtime issues.

    Now I use Hostgator. Haven't had any issues with downtime and page load up time is faster.

    I'd shift from them, ever since they was taken over, i've not only experienced constant problems, but i've also heard others having problems quite a lot.


    I've moved over to crocweb and wpengine, not had one problem.

      I've been with Hostgator since 2006 and only pay for the Hatchling package for my Plugs 'N Pixels website ($83/year for years). I just checked and it's up and running fine. I don't notice any downtime. I even have free Internetseer monitoring of the site and rarely get notification of downtime.

      Alex, I was not aware of a takeover of the company, can you elaborate?
