Reviews with Video Convert Better

Do you guys think embedding a short 1-2 min youtube video only as flowplayer so they cant get to youtube from it, with the product/digital product will help conversions?

The videos would not be a review, it would be a commercial of the product.

Say your reviewing gatorade, so you stick a gatorade commercial up. If it was a treadmill it would be the treadmill commercial that the company created.

Pros: Videos add other senses into the equation and always pump me up more and make a product seem more legit

Cons: Videos may make people want to watch more videos and end up searching youtube for product instead of your review.

Instead of having just one Gatorade commercial and worry about them leaving your site to go to YouTube...provide them with 30 of the best Gatorade commercials of all time!

Then - they'll have no reason to leave your site to quench their thirst - it'll all be right there in front of them.

embedding with flowplayer is good option and there are lot of other option so that people dont click the link and go away from your site .
But only adding company created commercial not going to help much . if some one only their to watch video then no matter what you do its not going to convert, video must convince them to take the action ( a strong call of action ) . so that after the video people take action and you get the result.

For conversion Split testing is best way to find what is Converting for your nice.

Video would be posted either at beginning, middle or end of my 1000 word review. I am just wondering from a psychological standpoint or from someone with experience if it helps.

It would be 30 seconds to 2 minutes max.

Its just like a break from text/another form of legitness/more of a push
