How do you post a link in an e-mail or anywhere else that is attached to ebook or software etc that you have on your hard drive? For instance I saw a post here with a link that brought you directly to download some videos.

You just post the actual link. If you right click you can often select save link or copy link location. This will allow you to paste the exact link.

For example if I wanted to link to a pdf file instead of ending in .html I would end in .pdf because thats the file extension. Same with a .zip, .doc, .mov .swf .gif .jpg etc etc etc

You just point the link to the location that the file is on your hosting and add the proper extension.
