I was checking out some keywords and found a niche that has very low competition in the SERPs in terms of everything except domain authority. There's Ebay, Amazon, and Yahoo Answers to name a few. The domain authority starts at 64 and goes up to 100, and the sites' ages are from 8 to 15 years. Most of the pages have a PA of 1 and many have 0 links.
Is this a niche I should consider getting into or am I crazy even thinking about it?

Id go for it. In my experience, ranking a YT video can beat Ebay with zero effort. So if Ebay is #5, then you can expect to be at least #4. Ranking a website is the same, just takes weeks rather than days.

Amazon is a tough cookie. I can beat it all the time if it has less than 50 backlinks, but I'll just have to throw more resources at it. If it has 0 links, then I'll beat it in a month.

PS: I'm using high PR/PA/DA backlinks as my ranking strategy.
