Making instructional videos with outlines, arrows etc.

Not sure if this is the right area but I could not find any that seemed to cater for this type of question, so here goes.
I am making an instructional video - the tool I have used is Camtasia 8. Camtasia 8 allows interaction with Microsoft PowerPoint and allows for animated arrows to be drawn and animated outlines etc. to highlight various areas on the screen. I have managed to create a video but it appears that Camtasia 8 suffers from syncing issues when the video is produced, so the arrows and highlights gradually start appearing earlier and earlier in the video on screens where they don't make sense and are out of step with the audio commentary.
I have a couple of questions:
1) Does anyone know how I can overcome the above issues using Camtasia 8 and continue using Camtasia 8 to make the video?
2) Failing a suitable answer to the above, is there another product or products that have the same functionality that can be recommended?
