Can I outsouce this job?

I just created an ebook for a travel niche, I need to get the book out. Can I hire someone like a VA to go around and grab me email address of people from travel blogs/websites who would be interested in my book.

if so where would I go to hire someone like this? and what would it end up costing me?

I want to set some sort of filtering parameter for the list of emails, to ensure their are not getting me low quality email addresses with sites that get no traffic, what parameters would be good to use?

thanks

It could be outsourced on ODesk or Elance and even though not a difficult job if you pay a low amount for the job you'll get the same level of work back. Most of the cheap freelancers struggle to follow instructions IME.

Look for websites that have big social following, get lots of interactions (shares and comments) on posts and rank high in search engines for competitive keywords.

When it comes to VAs, there's no one better than Virtual Staff Finder.

The only downside is the cost. You need to pay them $800 to find a VA that suits your needs and then you need to pay your VA individually on a monthly basis (which is obvious, actually).

      Hi,

I would recommend oDesk for a job like this. Should not pay more than $100-$200 and make sure you get someone with a number of jobs in their portfolio and with a ranking of at least 4.5 or higher.

Absolutely. I've done this exact same thing before for a yoga retreat website that I used to run. Went on Odesk and created a job posting for someone to populate a contact information spreadsheet I created. I recommend paying them per email address obtained, rather than per hour. Pay for results, not time spent. Also, be ridiculously explicit in your instructions.

You can set parameters based on your chosen niche. To get quality email addresses, you can start by asking your VA to look for related sites or blogs with at least PR 2 ranking. You can use SEO Quake via Firefox in checking the site's PR. In this manner, you're assured that the blogs or sites have good quality.

You can use the following on how you can look for sites or articles that cover your preferred niche/s:

          a) Google
          b) Yahoo's site explorer to check the backlinks of high ranking websites (try to get links on these same exact sites)
          c) Google alerts
          d) Copyscape premium(this is the best way because it give you results right away)

For more detailed information simply do a research on these items. Good Luck!
yeah I had parameters set something along those lines.

      Here is my suggestion

Setup your book in JVZoo and WarriorPlus ,set affiliate program also on both sites

This way you will get your pdf sales and no need to waste money & time in hiring VAs and sending mails and all that work.

If you need any help, please pm me

One other piece of advice if you do this is start small. Ask for the first 10-20 e-mail addresses before you ask for 100. That way you can be like "none from websites like this" or "more from websites like this".

And you can troubleshoot problems. "I need to know which website these email addresses came from."

basically I'm saying check in before you unload a huge list request on a VA so that you can refine your criteria/process for the addresses your VA pulls.

oDesk is the best place to find a VA. Choose the one with a lot of experience in Internet Marketing and ask them how they would be getting high-quality e-mails for your niche. $1 per 10 e-mail addresses would be enough.

I just paid someone on ODesk to do something very similar to this. Well actually I used 2 different freelancers

I wanted firstly a list of people who had linked to various guides similar to one I just created so I paid a guy on ODesk $25 to add the URLs of the guides into Ahrefs.com and find out what websites had linked to those guides then compile in a spreadsheet. It took him less than 12 hours to complete.

I then scanned through the links quickly and deleted any PDFs, forums, data files or other things which weren't proper websites or blogs.

I gave that list to freelancer 2 and asked him to visit all the sites and get the site owners name, email, facebook and twitter where possible. There were around 70 sites to visit.

Freelancer 2 bid on the job for just $10 even though I was offering more than that. It was an easy job for him he said. Did it well too.

Maybe that will give you some idea of how you can carry out the process for yourself.

Yes, you may hire VA to do that so it wont be a hassle for you and outsourcing VA wont cost you that much specially here in the Philippines. You may also look for virtual assistant in websites just like mentioned above. Virtual Staff Finder, Odesk or even in LinkedIn.

Both eLance and oDesk are good. You can get someone from India or Philipines with good English who will do it for very cheap. If you mention the job is ongoing if they do a good job, sometimes they're willing to drop their rate as well, just to secure a stable pay.

I usually interview up to 10 people, ask them how they would approach the task, then hire 3 to test out and see which one is better, then give that one the on-going task. You get some brain storming ideas by asking them how they would do it because sometimes they did this before and know of better ways than what you can think of.

You can hire anyone to do anything these days, popular outsourcing sites include Fiverr, oDesk, Craigslist, and Freelancer, although i would only reccommend oDesk for semi-large projects like this one.
