affiliate preparing for launch

Hey!

I'm preparing to promote an affiliate product. A couple tips I learned is to offer insane bonuses, and do a mailing to my list two days and one day before the launch, then send traffic to my bonus offer page the moment it launches.

I already published a "review" on my blog and I'm going to do a youtube review as well. it is now 5 days before the launch. any other suggestions?

Thanks!

The way you put 'review' in quotes leads me to believe its not a real review and instead something that you just made up, or copied from another source and added your own voice/opinion to that existing content?

Not that that can't or won't work, just that it's probably not the best way to add value to your market.

With your list, focus on education and benefit based selling.

If you want to get extra traffic day of launch, you could have a bunch of Videos ready to upload to Youtube on launch day - all slightly different, with different titles and everything.

Youtube will give preference to the 'newest' content surrounding a particular topic, if the search is hot. Basically, if you make a video surrounding a particular launch, and upload it to Youtube, that video will have a good chance of ranking well in the Serps for at least part of launch day.

Could be a decent turn-and-burn strategy to get some extra traffic on launch day...

As you stated earlier, before you focus on traffic, it's a great idea to make sure you have a great offer put together, and a killer bonus package could be a big part of that.

Alex pretty much nailed it. I would add that it never hurts to add a sense of urgency (but in a non hypey way).
Is the product being released for a limited time only? Is its price going to go up with sales, or after a certain period of time, or after its moved to a different marketplace?
If any of these are true, it's a good idea to start letting your list know ahead of time that the day of launch is when they can get this product at its absolutely best price. Everybody likes a bargain.

by "review" I mean I published an article reviewing what I know about the product so far in hopes that google will have indexed my site by the time people are looking for reviews. I plan on changing the article to include my affiliate link, bonus, and a more in depth review once i get a look at the product. I'm not a fan of garbage content, my point was to get the search engine rankings before people start looking for reviews, so when they do, ill be up there, hopefully number one.

maybe schedule youtube videos to be released through the day and the days following the release?

Great, but don`t forget setting up your very professional social media profiles.
Also why don`t you write an article related to your launch affiliate product and then publish it in article directories. This will hopefully help to get indexed faster on the majors search engines, it`s for a long-term success!
