Where do I stand? My Content Being Stolen...

Hello All,

I'm having real problems at the moment. I have this website that keeps on in-directly copying content from me. They use the same post ideas as me, and just change a word or so then within the posts they have all the same images and just rewrite the content a little. Their site also looks similar and is made to look like mine. ]

Also on some of their posts, only a few they put a link back to my site which isn't even linked, so it's just text saying... "this article is from MYDOMAIN.COM"

Where do I stand as they are not copying my content word for word but they are basically copying it? At one stage this site was copying from my site word for word, then I threatened to file a complaint which I later dropped with the DCMA due to them removing the content. But now they are using my content but just not word for word...

As long as they are not directly plagiarizing you, not certain there's anything you can do other than out perform them and leave them in your dust.

They are not directly copying me know. But they use the EXACT same images in all posts. They copy every post I do but just do it slightly differently. It's making my site look bad, and it may hurt my rankings. I am already doing much better than them however.

I think its still plagiarism if 95% of their content is the same as your.

You can try to contact their web hosting and see if they are willing to help.

If you want to be REALLY evil about it you can do two things.

      (1) Generate a lot of spammy links to their website to get them penalized by Google - or find out some other way to get them penalized

      (2) Pay a hacker to hack their website and erase their DB

Alright, I wouldn't do neither of these options, but, again, its your work and they are stealing it.

Their site is hosted with Weebly. I've tried contacting their copyright department but they have never got back to me. Should I just file a complaint with the DCMA again? And not drop it and see what happens.

Yes, try with the DMCA, see what happens. (I am sorry but I'm really not familiar with the rules and regulations of filing a DMCA complaint)

I hope you resolve the problem.
