My site already get money, what is the next step?

Hello everybody, it's my first post here.

I noticed that here there are a lot of great people so I'd like to ask some suggestion for my IM experiments :-D

I run website in the music learning niche, it is 1 year old, it has about 300 unique daily visitors (70% organic and 30% social network/forum), a mailing list with 1500 registered users.

I monetize it with adsense and every month I get my wire transfers (not so much, about one hundred euro per month)

I'm also partecipating in a couple of affiliate program, I close about 3/4 sales a month.

I'd like to scale up the whole thing, so the first thing I planned is to get 1000 unique visitors a day, with new contents, some online tool (I'm also a developer)
Regarding the monetization, what should I do? Continue with Adsense or leave it and focus on other things? (my own product, affiliate programs).

Adsense does not convince me too much because I got about 50 clicks a day, but the CPC is very low, and I know that every adsense click is a visitor that leaves my site and that means a potential sale lost.

do you have some feedback? thank you!

I would remove the AdSense ads unless you can find ways to raise the CPC. Target specific longtail keywords in site articles perhaps?

I would recommend creating your own product. Have a look at what your existing visitors are clicking on and buying. What topics? This will give you an idea of what your visitors are interested in. Then you can create a free gift to offer them so that you can build your email list. You might find that you can create information products or software that they want.

You could contact companies directly with the possibility of advertising on your site. Cutting out the middle man should make you more money.

You could also create your own courses, or JV with a music teacher to create your own courses, that way, instead of promoting affiliate products and you'd then get all of the income that you generate instead of 50% (or whatever commission you're getting).

That way, you'd also get affiliates promoting for you too.

I think removing the AdSense would be a good start. That space could be better used. As for affiliate products, I don't know what you're listing now but is it through a marketplace? Because often you can do better by working directly with a company that has an affiliate program in place but doesn't list it in a marketplace. Better commissions and less headaches for you.
And if you really want to capitalize, for sure your own product or series of products is a logical step. If your site is about learning music, can you put together a series of tutorials and package them up?

I'm affiliated directly with some companies. But I think I need to build my own product, I'm a computer engineer and maybe some software for music learning would be worth. thank you

Thank you everybody. I did a little analyisis on my statistic I discovered that in 1 month I wasted more than 500 clicks with 0.05/00.7 cpc.. I've just removed adsense from the pages with lowest cpc. Now I'm going to plan the next step according your suggestions. thank you again

    That's a great idea, John.

You might want to survey your list and readers to find out what type of software would be helpful for them. Lay out the options and ask them!

So if you are not happy with how much you are earning with Adsense, I think that the best thing you can do is to actually remove those ads and replace them with affiliate programs.

What can also do is to find affiliate programs that pay you for getting them leads. This is also called CPA offers which stands for Cost Per Action.

Thank you everybody for the nice feedback. I have a question regarding affiliate marketing: I put on the website a comparation review between two products of the same field.... I have a convertion rate about 1%.... I wonder if creating also a sale pitch page for each product would be a good idea.... maybe a sale picth page with link to the review, first level: pitch page -> second level: review......or the opposite is better? thank you
