Where can I find high traffic venues to market my affiliate sites.
If it`s free even better. Ppc and all those other marketing tactics start to get really expensive after awhile.
Also, where can I find info on marketing strategies to social sites.

Your question is very vague so it's hard to give detailed answers but there are lots of free places to get traffic, here's some of them....

Blogs (blog commenting, guest posting and syndication)

Forums (through clickable signatures, sharing your content if allowed, posting freebies to download or giveaway sections)

Social media (FB, Twitter, G+, Pinterest, Linked In, Tumblr or wherever your audience is)

    Video (Youtube & Vimeo)

Content aggregation sites (Reddit, Inbound, Biz Sugar, Blog Engage, Kingged etc)

Networking with authorities in your niche (write about them, link to them, tweet and like their stuff) and if done properly they will return the favour.

Content marketing (Writing high quality stuff that people can't help but share and link to + also syndicating that to other blogs that accept it)

Syndicating to places like Scoop It, Flipboard, Paper.li, Rebel Mouse.

    Thanks for your response.

All this is good to know. But, my writing skills are not good.
I know about guest blogging and most of what you`ve mentioned.
Is there a step by step strategy to use?
I noticed that in order to be effective you need to fish them in (so to speak).

Where can I get this specific type of Information.

Oh, my affiliate site are making money, health, and financial planning.

Be careful with buying traffic. I launched a new site, bought some traffic (pop under I believe) and it has been a total fail. Bot traffic.

I have a a lot of niches going on right now and not enough time to manage it. I am doing dating, health/fitness, musicians, adult.

I have purchased targeted email lists that usually have 25% or more bad email addresses. I have a system of scrubbing these lists to get a good list out of it and I keep it out of my Get Response account.

Facebook ads is working. I am getting opt ins for my musicians niche.

I am launching Plenty of Fish for my dating site.

The main thing is to get someone to sign up on your opt page in order to build a list that you can continually promote to.

If you're not good at writing then you've little chance of convincing anyone to buy anything if you run a 'typical' affiliate site (and mean by that product reviews as is the norm round here) unless you outsource.

Selling affiliate products is about building up a relationship with the reader by showing them you know what you are talking about and can be trusted.

People aren't likely to buy from someone who can't properly convey why they should buy the product.

Outsource the content if you're a bad writer. ODesk / WSO section / Elance.

      That sounds costly.
What do you think about list building software with an auto responder.

i recommend a list building model for the mmo niche.

front end promotion as soon as they optin presell or an immediate redirect to the affiliate offer.

back end promotion would be through your follow up autoresponder (offer bonuses if they buy from your affiliate link to increase conversions)

paid traffic that averages $1.00 per subscriber = solo ads
free traffic that averages 40% opt in = click banking and adswapping (most likely would need to buy solo ads to fulfill partner agreements).

again all in the make money online niche

Use social media sites like facebook & vk.com to promote your affiliate site. Create videos and distribute it on youtube & other video sites. Use fiverr to distribute a press release to many pr sites. Create and distribute pdf documents on document sharing sites. Do guest blogging with a link back to your affiliate site. Use blog commenting...
