List Segmentation Question...

INTERNET MARKETING

So I know the importance of segmenting your buyers onto a different list than your prospects, and I know how to do this if I am selling my own products. But is it possible to do this when selling affiliate products?

For example, if I were to send an email out tomorrow promoting an affiliate product, would it be possible to get the people who purchased the affiliate product onto my buyers list?

This is only possible if the site right after the purchase can be edited by you to track the conversion.

Hmmm, I don't know if that is the only way JRWashington. A while back I recall reading about a few tools that make this possible, I just can't remember what they are.

  You can ask your vendor to put your tracking code into his sales page. If you can reach him/her, I think there will be no problems inserting the code for him.

How about offering some kind of bonus if they purchase the product and request that they email you back with the proof of purchase. Then you'll know exactly who bought and you'll be able to move them onto a buyers list!

Hi,

Why not just create your own product?

At least you then get to build your own buyers list and then offer affiliate
offers to them too if you like.

Just a thought.

Thanks for the reply Gavin. I do have my own products, but the only problem with that is I don't want to have to create my own product every time I want to send an offer to my list you know?

But yes, I do agree that creating your own product is the best way to go
