How long would it take YOU to setup a new niche blog that could pull in $100/mth?

Curious as to your opinions - though I've pretty new to this IM thing, I've been reading a TON and have freelancers doing all sorts of tomfoolery - link building, article submission, etc and though I'm hitting my 1,000th site visit in oh, 4 months, I just started getting the site monetization ready with adsense/clickbank, etc. A week in, nothing yet.

I may be overshooting with competitive niches, but these are passion sites I would keep regardless, so if for the next one I go balls to the wall just for the $$ type of approach, what do you think, how long or rather what's the most EFFICIENT way to get $3-4/day from adsense?

Also, since I still have the day gig that takes up a lot of time, how much would you charge me to build 3-4 of these puppies in any niche?

Thanks

I can make them for $75 (will negotiate). I have made tons of these... I know the way to get targeted visitors from google in just 3 days or less... you can make more than $100/month with my setup.

Don't want to hijack the thread but I have to admit this piqued my curiosity. Care to enlighten us more on this? Does it involve PPC? Just curious as getting a new site indexed on Google in 3 days is pretty good, let alone receiving targeted traffic.

As for the AdSense revenue that should be doable, I setup a site last year that was quickly pulling 10 -15 dollars a day from AdSense. Alas it was a seasonal niche (Thanksgiving) so I'll have to wait a few months to revive it.

Of course just setting up the blog or site is only part of the story, you will also need to update the content periodically.

@Bill, FWIW getting a site indexed by Google in under 24 hours is trivially easy. Just bookmark in Digg, put up a notice on an appropriate section on Craigslist or USFreeAds, or even (if the site merits it) add it as a related link in Wikipedia.

        Cheers,

    Few questions -

a - how long does it take you to make one
b - can we test them so that once they make $2-3/day then i'll purchase?
c - can i pick the niches or do you typically pick them?
d - can these be setup on autopilot or do they need unique content posted, backlinks, etc. every month?

    thanks

It will depend. I do not use Adsense that much but I created a site at the beginning of the year. I wrote for it everyday for a month. I haven't touched it since and it still brings in $150 or so per month. I've been working on building up other sites, but will probably have to go back and work on it to maintain it and increase the income.
