Using Camtasia to record working on Camtasia

Hello Warriors

I've been thinking of doing a "How to record a video" course using camtasia, but the point is that I'll also be using Camtasia to do the recording.

Is it possible to use camtasia to do an on-screen recording while working on Camtasia itself? That is, can I use Camtasia to record working on Camtasia?

I'll be glad if someone can put me through this,

    Yes, The screen capture is a separate function from the editor and records what is on the screen. If you are using Camtasia and it is on the screen then you will record it.

    You can opt to have the recorder controls show or not as well.

    There are many How to Camtasia videos on YouTube to see examples.

    Do you have Camtasia? You probably could have just tried it to see if it worked in the time it took to post and wait for a reply

    Have you tried the free or paid version of screencastomatic? That's what I'm using now, rather than Camtasia. The sound and video quality is really good for this free online app. The only thing I don't like is the branding, however, you can get that removed if you upgrade. There should be a way to do what you're asking with this service.

    Yes, it will work. Start up Camtasia. Select that you're going to record the screen. Once you start recording the screen, then you can open up Camtasia. Camtasia is smart enough to recognize that you are recording the using of Camtasia. If you are narrating, you can explain along as you open the Camtasia, go to the file menu, open up an old file, or whatever it is that you're trying to teach.
