What to do with my 10K+ list in the IM niche?

Hey Warriors,

The question sounds weird but it's not. Here's what I mean.

I built a list of 10,283 in the IM niche using AWeber. I don't market a lot to this list only when I have a great product from a reputable marketer with guaranteed results. Which means I send email to this list just once every week.

Now, AWeber charge me a lot for this list. I want to ask for the advice of fellow warriors on this.
What other autoresponder will charge me less managing this list for me? I was considering MailChimp but they seem to charge more than AWeber for lists above 5000.

Please I need your advice and suggestions too

God bless.
Ken

    Hi Ken,

It depends on the quality of your list. If you have a good click-through rate with the list I would recommend selling the whole list (if aWeber is okay with that, I'm not sure) or have the reputable marketers pay a fee for the e-mails you send.

I would be interested either way! I will send you a PM so we can discuss this

I routinely search through my aweber lists and weed out the non-clickers.

You can easily do a search for those who haven't opened an email in, say, 6 months. If they haven't opened in that length of time, they likely won't.

Why pay money to keep these people in your database?

Since you DON'T Market to them on a regular basis, there is a way to make decent money from the list....

Become a solo ad vendor. You can charge .35 per click initially, until you get some positive feedback, then increase your rates....If you can get just 100 clicks, you could be making $35 off that list everytime you send out a solo ad email...

If you did this 2x per day for only 3 days a week, that would put an extra $210 per week in your pocket; more than enough to pay for aWeber...

There are "ton's" of WSO's on HOW to become a solo ad vendor, it's a great way to leverage a low response/non-responsive list and put some ca$h in your pocket...

    Hope this helps,

    ~AzSno...

    Ken,

If you have people on your list who are buying and you are not able to be profitable then why not do this:

Find really good products that can bank you higher commissions ($100-$1,000 per sale) and then you will be in profit and you will be able to afford to keep everyone on your list.

Hey thanks man! I have thought of this however, can you suggest where I can get quality products with such high-commissions - with high-conversions too?

I did thought of it but it will take a lot of time researching this. If you can give me good info, I will be grateful

keep building your list through swaps. make sure your partners offers can bring value to your list if you are worried about your rep.

mail out offers to your list more often and focus on what kind of EPC you will need to get you to where you want to go.

Focus on CTR, EPC, and monitor your unsubscribe rate

If it's not very responsive I would trim the fat, and send out a few emails "if you would like to stay on my list" please opt-in here.

start emailing twice a day, there is no point in having a list if it doesn't make you money and in your case you mine as well be flushing money down the toilet

Would have to go with Friendly Rob. If you've got subscribers on your lists who are not clicking or not even opening your emails then it's worth weeding them out.

Just create a segment in Aweber of those people who haven't clicked/opened an email in the last 3 months IF they joined over 3 months ago (obviously don't weed out people who joined in the last few weeks).

You'll often find, if the list is old, that you can half the list size. DO NOT be scared of this. Ultimately, you're still going to have the same number of ACTIVE subscribers.

It's a bit scary seeing your list size go from 10,000 to 7,500 or 5,000 but don't panic!

I was there once and hated it. But when you do that initial 'weed out' and then send another email you'll see your open rate and click rate ROCKET!

    Hi Ken

Whatever you decide to do make sure that it provides great value for your subscribers and that if possible you can add value for them.

We don't mean adding a load of PLR stuff (and call it a Bonus) that will fill up their hard-drive either.

Most people these days have heard it all before and giving real value and having real interest will benefit you in the long run.

    Regards

I think it's a good idea to get rid of the non responsive subs who never open or click in the past month or so. Never understood the idea of paying every month for people who don't engage with you.

As others have said previously trim the fat. Spring is around the corner. Time for a good list cleaning perhaps. You can experiment with cpc monetization and affiliate offers.

    Hi,

I would suggest to try an email marketing platform that doesn't charge you based on your list, but charge you based on number of the emails you send.

So instead of paying $50 for aweber you can pay $7.47 for 40k emails at SendinBlue ( please note that I am affiliated to SendinBlue, but this is not the reason I am recommending it to you )

Hi you can do an email swaps with other email list owners, or solo ads service where you charge money for each email sent to your list.
another big idea is do a CPA offers with your liste
