Help with Fitness Domains

I own two domains in the fitness niche. The first one is an exact match .NET domain which has 6,600 searches globally and 4,400 in the US according to Google Keyword Planner. I am not the original owner and Wayback Machine shows its first record as 2/09/2010. The second domain is more of a brandable name. It has 1,300 searches globally and 1,000 in the US per month. I am not the original owner on this either and Way back Machine shows it's first entry as 01/20/2002. It also has a Alexa ranking of 4M. I have done nothing with these domains and don't have any kind of website on either.

I am rather new to internet marketing but have some knowledge and a drive to succeed. Any one give me some ideas? I am looking to make money on them rather quickly, but do realize it comes with a lot of work and effort on my part.

Yes, I do know how to use the search feature on this forum too but I am interested in some personal responses from someone already in this niche or just anyone that can give me ideas advice or suggestions.

EMD are not as hot as they were before. However, if you build a good content site around that domain, you can easily rank it. The content is key, not just relying on the domain name for SEO benefits. For the brandable domain, you have a huge potential for a health or fitness related subscription site, whether that happens to be a social network or forum.

Brandable domains are always the smarter choice. Think Sparkpeople, a weight loss social network. The name is very brandable and memorable, though the domain name doesn't mention weight loss. Can you imagine if Facebook had been given a 'keyword' rich domain? No one would have ever bothered signing up there or using the site. At least with a brandable name, you have a unique word that sticks in the mind more easily than a long phrase.

Thanks for the replies. With the first domain, would it be beneficial at all to run a small blog and create a product or use an affiliate network? Or would it be a waste of time because it being hard to get ranked?
