Warriors, I really need your advice warriors about this

If you lived in a tax free country (and a citizen) and started doing internet marketing, and found out later that the IRS would withheld 30% of your earnings, either from affiliate networks like clickbank or ad revenue like adsence, would you still be doing internet marketing? What would you do in this situation?

Your replies and opinions are highly appreciated, I really need an advice about this.

Thanks

I think there should be no second opinion..
If you are getting 70% then it's still better than 0

If i were you i will be happy with 70% earnings till i manage to have some reasonable bank balance which would help me move to some other country

I would do two things. First, I would consult an accountant. Second, I would stop making my posts harder to read by shrinking the text size.

      Hi Norim

I'm not sure to be honest with you, have you consulted a tax attorney or consultant yet?

    My question to you.
Are you a citizen of that country or a US citizen.

I tried to do that, but unfortunatly accountants in my country dont understand what internet marketing is or how to deal with taxes involvong the IRS.

My apologies for the text, i will make it bigger next time, Thanks Paul.

You mean, US IRS? How they can technically do that, if you are not US citizen and don't live there?

Did the advice not work from your exact same question 2 months ago?

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...tes-taxes.html

If you aren't getting the answers you need here, go to where you can get answers such as the company that's withholding the taxes.

In fact, no one should rely on any legal or tax type answer from here unless the answer is "consult a licensed and reputable professional".

Having said that, from these two sources:
    https://kdp.amazon.com/help?topicId=201274690
    Taxation of Nonresident Aliens

It appears that Amazon does indeed withhold the tax but that you can possibly reclaim it through filing the tax return listed in the second link. However, I would ask a tax professional for further advice if the IRS link above doesn't make sense. You may can even ask the IRS for help after researching it more on your own.

Thank you Mark, but these are two different questions, in my previous post i asked "why Amazon would withhold 30% of my earnings and clickbank wouldn't! Im a foreign affiliate in both sites! How could that be?"

Later after that post, and after consulting with several tax professionals online, and a reply form the IRS, I've learned that 30% of my earnings would be withheld from any U.S income based for me as an international internet marketer since my country doesn't have tax treaties with the U.S.

So my question for the warriors here is " If you are in my position and if you are aware of this fact (30% withholding) would you still continue with your internet marketing pursuits?"

      Thanks

    Umm yes.

It is like saying would you rather have a job or be homeless.

    Nonsensical question.
