Website not converting sign-ups

Hi Guys,

I've recently started a member-based website. I've tried advertising on Facebook with success as far as getting people to the sign up page but without any luck in scoring conversions.

What free or paid solutions do I have?

Thanks in advance

Have faith that you will make sales.

If you want the best results and have some money for advertising, I would go with pay per click ads.

Make sure that you only work with the big names like Google, Yahoo, and Bing. They are the best and if you do things right, you will get good conversions. Test your bids and never start too high. Always start with the minimum about of bids required.

  • Having a quick glance at your landing page, when it tells me that there are "3 users already inside" it doesn't necessarily make me excited to join a community of 3 people. Therefore I would get rid of that notice for now until your site picks up!

Also, try to explain more in detail what your site is and does, It may be very clear to you because you have been working on it for a while, but trust me, your traffic has no clue whatsoever what your site is all about, and they may see no reason as to why they should sign up, especially when sites like Facebook and Twitter allow folks to discuss and share topics.

Thus you need to explain why your site is different / better, etc. Hope this helps.

I agree with the above, get rid of the "3 users inside" and the landing page is cryptic. Your landing page is begging for some examples of what exactly I would be signing up for, perhaps a quick video demo or example? Other than that I like the clean design.

I can't see any 'voices'. Can only members see the discussion?

It would be much better if you could see and read like facebook so then when I post my 'voice' more people can hear it.

And I agree that the landing page gives no clue what the site is about and why I should sign up.

You are starting at the wrong end of the equation.

You must create desire in your offer, before you spend money to bring prospects to your offer.

Right now it looks like you are converting at 0%.

If you throw a ton of money at that, you might start seeing conversions, and you might throw away a ton of cash.

However, if you do a better job at "creating desire" for your offer, then your conversions will improve and any money you throw at advertising your offer will result in profits.

It might also convert better if you allowing signing in with Facebook or Google accounts.

my suggestion will be a project in itself, but one you'll get a lot of good feedback and insight from:

Convert the current offer into a backend product. Then create a front end product that sets up the sale for this one.

For example, do a product themed on the problems we have with loneliness are not being heard in society and how there are solutions out there that are underutilized.

You have this at the bottom of your page...

    "Still not convinced?"

...I wasn't. What's the benefit of joining this site? If it's on this page, I didn't find it. I can't see what it looks like inside without signing up. That's too much trouble when it's not even clear what the benefit is.

I suggest learning some copywriting tricks, on Copyblogger, or search for "Copywriting Training Videos" on YouTube, at least get a good headline working for you.

I checked out your website and I'm very confused as to what your site is supposed to offer. I even clicked to look inside and clicked the about page and still have no idea what it's about.

You may need to work on copywriting a bit more to come up with something compelling that would make people want to subscribe and join.

Also clearly state what the purpose of your site it and what benefit someone subscribing would have ...

    Just some suggestions.

    Not convinced.

What does your product/service do? What does voice of web mean? Is this like a Skype or something?

You are saying: "Share what's on your mind with the rest of the world!"

Is that supposed to be a benefit of some sort?

So, you are taking people OFF of Facebook, a platform they know, love and trust, and already use to "Share what's on their mind with the world" and you are taking them to a site they have never heard of before, don't know, don't like and don't trust, and asking them to do the same thing on your site that they already are doing daily on Facebook?

I don't get it. Do you see the problem with that?

And posts can't be seen by the public or Google. Even a video showing how the idea is supposed work would help.
