      Wouldn't it be very questionably?

You asked a question, I answered. If you don't like it, then do it the other way

OR - you can always test both ways and see which way brings more sales..

Agree with eljeffe77 , Affiliate links should be placed on all 3 .

Make email #1 mostly content - several paragraphs of helpful tips. Put your affiliate link at the very end.

Make email #2 contain some more helpful tips, but include two links. Your first paragraph can say "Hey, did you see my email the other day? In case you haven't checked out _____ yet, go here now:" (and then put your link.)

Then give some tips, and include your link again at the bottom.

Make email #3 more of a short, direct pitch. No tips, just urging them to check out the offer (and use some scarcity tactics if you can).

You should definitely put your link in every email. The more times people see it the more likely they are to click Also a lot of your subs will only look at 1 of the 3 emails. If you didn't put the link in all 3 you just lost a lot of your potential buyers.

Most "new" people who are on your email list won't even realize what an affiliate link is. They will think you are being helpful in sending them to information they may like.

More of a concern to me is the frequency of emails. I'd be wary of bombarding your list (although others might disagree) - quality over quantity.

        Kind regards

I'm still developing my email marketing 'skills' but isn't it most important to get your list to trust you first?

Am I way off the Mark if I say:

          1. Give them the information they want first, without any sell.
          2. Maybe then introduce a particular product but again include other useful information with the email, without any sell.
          3. Then have an email which has a friendly 'sell' with a decent call to action.

It's quite a good idea to get on a few email lists and see how marketers differ in their approach to all this.

Personally I think adding value to your list is more important than making a few quick bucks...

          Cheers

From the reading I've done, I would say this is a better approach. In my future email efforts, I can see having a signature link to my site in every email, but I wouldn't want to just send 3 emails all concentrated on extracting money... just me, but I'd finesse them a bit first, I think.

Why not do both at the same time? Give plenty of value, then

            Sign your name, and casually:

P.S. Have you seen this yet? It goes GREAT with the ABC Free Download I sent you the other day

Or: P.S. Hey check THIS (link) out and let me know what you think - I've gone through it myself (or i've been using it myself) with pretty good results so far.

Don't try to 'bribe' anyone. If you sell a product, you should naturally believe in what you are selling. And you will have more success that way.

But if you are 'unsure' about what it is you are sharing with people, you can struggle for a long time. You have first got to buy what you are selling.

I would redirecting all of my visitors to the affiliate link right away (as soon as they opt in), unless they are opting in for something entirely different.

It is perfectly OK to give them an affiliate link in each email.

Just make sure that you don't always SELL SELL SELL.

Give your readers value too. This will help boost your sales conversions.
