How do i get started selling article packs?

I am a decent writer and I can write informative articles on any subject.

What i'm confused about is how to go about selling these article packs? For example lets say i was writing weight loss articles. Do all 10 articles in the pack need to be on different subjects of weight loss? Ex. First article is about eating habits, second article is about cardio, third article is about calisthenics and so on?

Or should all the articles be on one subject like cardio. But worded differently?

Also if i'm selling my articles on fiverr in packs of 5 for $1 each do they need to be SEO articles? Or is that something totally different?

Also does anyone have a link to a sample pack of 10 articles? I'm not looking to download them for a site so i don't care if they are already published or whatever. Just looking to see what professional level work looks like and exactly what customers are expecting so that i can deliver.

And do these articles need to be copyrighted? Or can i just type them and sell them?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not trying to be a grouch, but if you're providing professional writing services, it's a good idea to make sure your posts on forums like this convey that you actually can write on a professional level. Please take this advice in the spirit in which it is being given, and don't be offended.

Please don't post in my thread if you aren't going to answer any of my questions.

The former approach is preferable. Rewriting the same article ten times in different words doesn't provide much value to the buyer. People who buy article packs typically want to add content to a website or email series. You can see why one article rewritten ten times wouldn't work very well for those purposes.

Also if i'm selling my articles on fiverr in packs of 5 for $1 each do they need to be SEO articles? Or is that something totally different?
Good articles are naturally SEO-friendly, so while I would mention this as a benefit in case a potential buyer cares, I wouldn't make it the focus of my writing style.

Go to any popular "authority" website and look at their articles to get an idea of what quality looks like.

They are protected by copyright from the moment you write them. However, you should inform your buyers that the articles are PLR content if you don't intend to pass the exclusive rights on to them upon purchase.

Now, please, consider the importance of what I said in my previous post, as it will make an immeasurable different in your success as a seller of writing services here on the forum (which is one of the best places to get business).

      Thanks for the additional info.

      Two more questions:

If i'm selling "PLR" articles for a dollar each am i expected/allowed to sell those articles to multiple customers? Would i be expected to charge more if the pack of articles is unique and only being sold to that one customer?

And how did you work to improve your grammar? I have no start up cash and i was hoping to earn money to invest through article writing. But after reading your original post i'm not so sure that my writing is good enough to sell.

        Yes on both counts.

PLR is generally sold to multiple customers. The number is typically infinite, but it can be limited to a set number of customers to create a little bit of exclusivity (this is called "limited" PLR.)

And you certainly would charge more for exclusive rights. If you can only sell the articles once, you have to charge more for them than if you can sell them over and over. And, of course, there is an increased benefit to the buyer in having exclusive rights to the content, which justifies the higher price.

Well, it's not like your English is horribly broken. For starters, always capitalize "i" when referring to yourself. That's an easy one to fix. Also, read up on comma usage.

Anything you could possibly want to know about grammar is freely available on the internet. You can even find quizzes that let you practice and see where you're going wrong. It's not particularly complicated stuff, so there's no reason to be discouraged. Just read and practice a little, and check your articles' grammar before selling them, and you'll be fine.

You could very well sell them on Fiverr to start off with but why not consider creating a website or something and sell your articles on there? Or even if your articles are really relevant, you can sign up for a WF membership and offer them for sale in the Classified Section or create a WSO.

Your articles could be on one niche subject, but different articles in that subject. Like your example stated, first article is about eating habits, second article is about cardio, third article is about calisthenics, and so on.

***Not looking for downloads or purchase or trying to promote in your thread, but if you go to my page, www.plradvanced.com/plr-products, you can see how I typically do it when it comes to these types of PLR articles***

If you're selling PLR articles, you sell it to multiple customers. For instance, let's say you write a PLR article pack containing 5 articles on weight loss. You don't just sell it to one person and then get rid of it. You have the choice to offer a limited sale (meaning only selling your articles to 50, 100, or however number of people you want to sell to) or you have the choice of not putting a limit on there and 3 years from now, someone could come onto your site and purchase your product if it's a topic that's still relevant.

    Exclusive or with PLR?

Either way just write them like you would if it was your blog .. 10 articles don't need 10 specific catagories they just need to be 10 unique articles that pertain to 1 niche. And you can either sell on eBay ... WF WSO's .. Your own website ... Or anyway you choose to market what you have for sale

    Best of luck

At a price of $1 per article, I certainly hope he's not talking about exclusive rights...

Lol I must of overlooked that! Yeah I just paid 15 for an exclusive 1000 word article .. He can clean up better if he offers research and exclusiveness .. PLR articles are a dime a dozen out there, either way. He has the advice, all he has to do is make it happen

I hate to just echo what's already been said, but... echo.

PLR articles aren't worth much to me personally, though there is a market for them. People, myself included, pay more for research and exclusiveness.

I would say, why not experiment with both though?

The question from the OP is "how to get started". I'm almost tempted to answer by saying... just get started.

You may still have questions and you may even decide to change your approach down the road, but as a general rule if you want to make money online you have to be selling something. So ask yourself, what do you have for sale right now? If nothing, then set out to change that ASAP.

Why not take a solid day and crank out 10 articles for a PLR pack. Post them in Fiverr and just go for it. They don't have to be perfect. It just has to be a start.

But then the next day, why not visit the Warriors For Hire section of the forum and look for article writing services. Can you do what they're doing? I believe you can. Spend a day coming up with what you can offer and write some copy for it. Spend the $20 and start selling those exclusive articles. Just be sure to capitalize your I's.

My point is... it doesn't have to necessarily be one or the other in this case. My bigger point though... don't wait until everything is perfect and you have all the answers. Start selling something as soon as possible.

          Best of luck,
          Derek

If you truly can write good content then I would go with the advice of Setting up a website and running a WSO. I would try to find big Niches such as health and fitness, pets, cooking etc and drill down. So for instance you could target the Health and fitness niche and then write articles on Kettlebells if you can offer additional content in the form of graphics and videos even better.

You won't like it but I am going to reiterate what others have said. If you claim to be a decent writer, your posts must show that or people won't consider hiring you. I am a writer myself and so I know this to be true. I have often had to rewrite work that people have paid others to do because it has ended up being poor quality.

Once you have the quality down, you're better off to write fresh articles and you can then sell them for higher prices. I make my money from writing for clients who place orders with me. I don't write and then hope to sell material because that's the wrong focus for my business.
