Anyone elses GVO hosting account get hacked? (RESOLVED)

Hey guys, did anyone elses GVO hosting account get hacked? 3 of 5 current websites I have on their servers are hacked and the remaining are in a 500 internal error state. I contacted them but not liking the answer I'm getting from support.

Just curious if anyone else was hit so I can figure out how this happened. I'm sure there was NO exploit on my end.

Are these websites all on a single shared hosting account?

The majority of the time though, the exploits ARE via themes, plugins & outdated apps - Wordpress/Joomla etc. Not saying this is the case, but most of the time it is.

^ You never answered this question. This matters most.

"Addon" domains are still 1 Linux account. If any domain in the account is hacked, they're all hacked. The is why you should use "reselller hosting" (multi-domain hosting) when using multiple domains. Each "reseller" account is its own Linux account. If you hack one ... you hack one, not all.

GVO is not a good host anyway.

I have reseller hosting accounts... these are all their own domains not sub, to answer your question.

One of the domains has no WP installed and the other ones where updated over a week ago. Now I'll have to go through all the content line by line and link by link looking for any changes to affiliate/payment links, etc.

    This sucks!

My WP password is definitely not the issue since it is almost 20 characters.

Mine are all fixed now... I regenerated the .htaccess file in WP (permalinks and save) then I reinstalled the wp-admin and wp-includes files. After that I noticed that on one of them the index.php file was missing and the other one was corrupt so I fixed those by taking the index.php file from a fresh download and FTP it to my site. Hopefully everything is golden now...
