Hey guys,
So I built two websites which where originally meant to be ranked in google but I now realize google is not the most reliable traffic source. My question is should I try and promote my website through forums and article marketing or should I just trash it and stat over?
I have spent around $1000 on both sites which is a lot of money for me.
Thanks
P.s. Any tips on getting better at writing? I live in America and have spoken English all my life so my writing is readable but not to the quality I want for my websites.
Thanks

    Michael,

Since you already have those website up and running, I would learn how to market online with paid ads. Do this if you want faster results.

You can never rely on the search engines for traffic. This is one of the main reasons why most people fail online.

I agree in that you can never rely on search engines as their algorithms changes ever so often it is not possible to keep track of it all the time. Much better to have some really solid traffic sources at your disposal.

      Hope that helps.

It is always good to have multiple streams of traffic.

You just never know when your source will dry up.

I would never rely on the search engines for lifetime traffic. That is just crazy.

Do you mean you build websites keeping Google in mind instead of your own interest.

There is rule , you cannot succeed if you don't have interest in that field .And in IM this rule get more stronger , You cannot do solo ad business if you don't have interest in it .

Well you have already spent much money on your website try these things

Try to sell on Flippa so you can know real value of your website.

try to do social marketing like fb,twitter, pinterest

Hire a good webmaster /content manager to uplift your website.

Try all form of marketing and test which one works for you

    Thanks

Yes. Never stop looking for new sources of traffic, no matter how much you are currently getting or where you're getting it from.
