Does Audiobook have effect on regular sales?

I currently have a book on kindle and createspace that is quite successful. Now I am going to introduce it as an audiobook through ACX.

Has anyone noticed whether doing so decreases the sales of the kindle and paperback version of the book?

Or other tips on this topic you believe are valuable?

It shouldn't. In fact, it should even supplement your text offering's appeal. It's a good move to have an audio version. Rule #1 in marketing: go to where your customers are.

Go for it. In a webinar I attended a year ago I found out that there are people who will buy your audio books and if they really like it will go and buy every version of your book.

I don't have any personal experience with this, but I have read other authors talk about the advantage in also having the audio version of your book.

Many people use it as a bonus in exchange for a buyer's email address, so they can build a mailing list of buyers.

Depending on your book, it may also see a large number of sales. It really depends on your audience and the topic of your book.

I also have no experience with this but I think that it will not hurt if you try it out and see what results you get.

If you can run a test promotion, this will tell you the numbers.

If I was in your position and am already earning a decent income with the current book, I would not mess around testing the new version.
