What are the biggest obstacles when starting IM? I am new and don`t know what to know to start earn

I think besides mindset and more practically speaking, realizing that you need to focus on building a list. then Actually focusing on that and taking the steps to do that, i.e. building a funnel with auto responder. Then where to get the kind of traffic that you need.

That was my struggling point. When I got past that, I started waking up to paypal payments in my inbox.

actually believing you can make money is the hardest and then starting the steps to get where you want to be...

the biggest obstacle is focus - The term hard in this industry translates into really boring.

One more thing before you ask the forum
- it takes on average 2/6 months to start seeing a return from your efforts. Keep in mind this is all entirely based on how well you understand the information you are studying. If you become overwhelmed, you need to realize that your over thinking and probably coming up with way to many ideas.

You don't have a choice but to focus on one, until you can achieve this focus you will not, i promise you, make money online.

1. Too many shining objects
2. Half baked courses that are designed to milk you to the bone
3. Newbies don't take action and track performance.

Distractions. They are everywhere. The internet is huge.

This is a blessing, and a curse all the same. You can access a website to learn how to properly train your cat to fetch the morning paper and 15 minutes later end up learning how to invest on WallStreet.

...And all you did was click a few shiny looking links.

My advice to you is : Take a few months and just let your brain run wild. Become a sponge and soak up as much as you can in regards to running an online business.

TAKE NOTES. Take more notes, and study them.

I would advise that you pick 10 methods of earning income online. Study the hell out of them.

Than pick the one that keeps drawing your attention. Which one is the most distracting.
That's the element of online business you want to master.

Now. REMOVE DISTRACTIONS. Set aside whatever amount of hours per day you have decided to focus on the method you have chosen to make cash online. Master it. Buy a WSO or two pertaining to it.

Take notes, study. Put yourself through a self administered class regarding it.

Everytime you notice a shiny button online pertaining to something else... Just remind yourself that everytime you click on one of those, that's "x" amount of minutes you could be mastering your chosen method. This translates to a longer period of waiting to see results.

It takes 10,000 hours of dedicated study and practice to master something. The more time you focus on one thing, the quicker you reach your 10,000 hours.

And God willing, you'll make some money.

I think the biggest obstacle is information overload and not taking consistent action.

The biggest obstacle I can share is when you don't have a clear vision of what you want to achieve.

You are in world with all the information you need and opportunities to grab but if you don't really know WHY you are here then you'll get lost.

Mindset. It will come and go unless you religiously feed it. I suggest Les Brown, Elliot Hulse, books by Robert Kyosaki, etc. I have more I can share with you but too many to simply list all.

Apart form mindset the only other obstacle is you. Many others in this thread are spot on and 100% correct. Listen to all of it.

On the other hand there truly is only two things to this industry. Mindset and application (taking massive action). So I say again, the only other obstacle apart from mindset is you not taking action.

the trend is people hear work, see a loss of personal time for no immediate forseeable return, and quit.

You will rise and fall on your own merit.

The 2 biggest obstacles that you may encounter are:
Information overload
Moving from one method to another (shinning object syndrome)

For success on internet consistent content creation is required. If you have the money you can go for paid advertisement.
Broadly speaking you need - Traffic===>Opt-ins====>Conversions

Biggest obstacles?:
Giving up before success is attained.
Learning too much and not taking action.
Thinking you can do it all by yourself.
Playing it safe.

Not starting and thinking you need to know everything is the biggest obstacle.

Plus not being able to focus on the most important things because of the information overload as others have said.

But all I keep reading is focus, focus, information, focus.
I have an offline selling experience, so talking to people about products is not an obstacle for me, but here on the internet I can`t reach people one by one and talk to them face to face.
Do I need to focus on building website or how to reach people first?
Either way point taken about the focus thing I already noticed there are too many things that virtually guarantee millions. That for me is surreal. That's why I am having trouble even finding the right market to dive into, although I do have a lot of experience in education and learning, so I am not afraid to study

A lot of great replies here. I've found the best way to get yourself in-front of the world is by blogging. Good old fashion blogging. Once posted your material is out in the world forever. By buying traffic and following leads I have always felt like I was chasing rabbits. Join a blogging Alliance rather than a blogging platform and provided your content is SEO oriented you should start to see traffic and start selling your product.

I agree with a fellow warrior when he mentioned something about believing in yourself. If you have the proper mindset then everything will fall in its rightful place. Think of the law of attraction. If you doubt your skills, capabilities, etc. then you simply attract failure.

You really have to commit in your own self belief. You need to know that this is something that you really want to do. That you're not doing it because of the hype thing. That you sincerely asked yourself of your genuine wants and needs in life that can only be sated with IM.

Research and learning new things is already a major obstacle. You need to invest a lot of time researching and learning the best practices needed in order to become successful.

You need to develop the skill of discernment. The forum itself has a plethora of information. That's why it's important to know what you want. This will give you direction and focus. Once you have a clear direction you'll know the distracting information that you need to avoid. Only apply the knowledge or best practices that resonate well with you.

Treat yourself like a sponge. Absorb as many information as you can but you must also learn to let go of useless information.

You must always have the initiative to ask and to learn new things. Don't get used to spoon feeding information. You must know how to search for your answers because this will also lead you to your truth.

When overwhelmed with information overload. Breathe, pause and take a break. Regroup yourself. Don't panic. Don't procrastinate. Take Action because this will help you move forward in reaching your set goals.
