Default Are PLR articles a good idea?

Just out of curiosity I purchased PLR articles from 4 different sources. I "Copyscaped" 21 of them, and all except two had been duplicated on at least 15 different sites across the web.

Is this the norm for PLR articles, or has anyone had a different experience?

PLR articles save you time to write an article from scratch. You will need to modify them before you publish to the internet.

Publish the PLR article without any modification is not a good idea and there are hundred and thousands of newbie doing the same thing everyday, so your article will be one of the duplication.

I like to use PLR article because it save me time to write from scratch and also save a lot of time to research the information.

Regards,
Sean

Mike -

Hi.

That is pretty much the nature of PLR articles. You can get them very inexpensively because they are sold / distributed to multiple people.

If you want a unique article then you normally have to write it yourself or hire an article writer. A 400 word article usually costs $5 - $10.

Some people purchase PLR articles for cheap and then "spin" them either manually or by using a program to give it some uniqueness. That can work for posting to your own site or for posting to blogs. PLR isn't allowed for sites like Ezinearticles, though, if you were planning on using it for article marketing.

Hope this helps.

Wendell

Hello Mike,

Yes, I have found it easier to write my own articles than use PLR articles. By the time I spin them I can write one, but of course I stay within my Niche.

You can always use a spinning program and then proofread them after, but I've always found that it is much faster and cheaper just to write the articles yourself. That way you won't have any grammatical errors and you can control the article just how you want to.

PLR articles are great! As you know, many people here have dis-proved (is that a word?) the duplicate content myth so you can use them as is. I suggest you get links to your pages to get them to outrank the other ones out there.

Plus PLR has a ton more uses than just as web content. Use them in your autoresponder, spin them into other articles, use them as research, put them together to make a free report to to entice people to sign up to your autoresponder, upload them to document sharing sites like scribd, made video articles out of them etc....

If you can find a good quality source, I'd say they are well worth the price.

Well, as someone else said, they are a time saver.

You may rewrite them and save a lot of time. Or you can outsource rewriting.

They form a big part of my biz on the Internet.

It is a bit of a time waster.

If you want really good results - you want 100% unique content.

However, you can use them for many reasons - but you are far better off creating unique content.
