No offense but nobody can offer you specific advice without more information from you. Other than that, use the search function of this forum and you'll find countless threads that will help you.

What I believe that you need to do is to get an auto responder and set it up for automatically getting your emails out before you even think about driving traffic to your website or opt in page. next always drive your traffic to an Opt in (squeeze page) before directing it to your site or affiliate offer. that way you continue to build your list that you can sell to.

You give out very little information! What's your action plan like? But my recommendations to drive traffic to your affiliate site would be to use social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, also trying to build a list is going to help you with aff. offers.

*Setup Google alerts
*Use Google alerts and visit the sites where there's a discussion happening about your keywords (this may be a blog, forum, yahoo answers etc)
*Add value to the discussion with your useful comments.
*Don't spam the blogs / forums with your links. Build some reputation & trust before you start recommending your link/website or adding a signature link.

There are different marketing strategies you can apply to drive traffic.
Examples:
1. Social Networking - can be free or paid.

4. Banner Advertising
5. Solo Ads
6. Free Classifieds
7. Forum Marketing

BUT don't get overwhelmed with that. Just focus on what works best for you and be consistent doing that.

The only addition I have would be ot not waste your time on SEO for a strictly affiliate website.

Google and all their Zoo animal algorithm's hate affiliate websites and the massive blackhat SEO it takes to rank them for worthwhile traffic.

Chall has a great idea in a blog since with a blog you can focus on QUALITY content daily that truly helps people and Google will rank your site based on it's relevance and authority to the niche in question.

Content will always outdo massive backlinking techniques (unless we're talking about Blogger.com or Youtube or another Google sister site).

Were I just starting from scratch I would learn how to monetize FB for free (which I still do), this forum, and Youtube for best results if you're sold on an affiliate website.
