HELP ME WARRIORS....

i got a big problem with my website...
I tried to make an update to the site. I replace the old index.htm file with the updated index.htm file...
But the site won't updated :< it still the same as before where it still not updated... :<

for info that I upload the index file with control panel ftp provided by host provider...

i tried to delete all files inside the directory... but the site still there
Its like the site having its own directory which i don't know where...

Some say that my comp infected by a virus... but i format the computer already and tried to re-upload the index file... still has no effect :<
i also try to make a default.htm file and upload it... No effect :<

is there any possibility that the index.htm file infected by a virus...? if so, any way to correct it ?

I tried almost everything i can.. but the result is none...
I'm so stress and confused...

There could be several reasons for this - don't panic.

The original file may be cached either by the server or your browser cache. See if you can look at the site from a different PC.

It could well be a permissions issue through the control panel.

    Always learn and use FTP.

If you still have issues let me know.

Try reloading the page while pressing the Ctrl key on a PC or the Mac key on a Mac.

This problem is probably due to your browser's cache.

Try renaming your new index.htm to index.html

        That seems a bit drastic!

My suggestion is download an FTP client and learn how to use it - it is very simple. I am sure you will have no issues then. If you do then contact your hosting company.

Is the new index showing in your control panel under file manager - in the public_html folder? Has the old file been renamed or trashed so it won't interfere?

If the problem is in the site files, reformatting your computer won't do anything to solve it. Check the site in the control panel before moving to more drastic measures.

You don't say what the frame is since you added the new file - but also could be your ISP hasn't updated since it was done.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.
