I have the how, it's the what that defies

Just venting here. Any advice, criticism, brainstorms, etc. are welcome.

So I'm a pro coder with many years experience. And I've been studying and playing with IM for the last 5+ years. I've had small success along the way with various IM techniques, just nothing on a large enough scale to replace the day job.

So I have the how down pat.

It's the what that I can't figure out and it makes me a little crazy.

    Pick a niche, any niche.

    Any hobbies you're passionate about?

      Hi Jill

      Yes many.

My issue is that I want to do something legit and I feel like I don't need to rehash the same info in those niches that is already available. I don't feel right unless I can find a legitimate place to offer something unique or valuable that they can't find elsewhere.

    Hi dad2four,
In my experience there is no kind of service or product which i say i am only here who is providing this its mean you need to work on old niches but with new ideas.

Don't try to reinvent the wheel!
If everyone thought like that, then we would only have one car manufacturer, one burger outlet, etc.
See what is selling, and put your own spin on it, to give it a USP.
McDonalds have the Big Mac, so BK have the Whopper.
Both big burgers, but with their own twist, and both still sell.
Don't try for perfect, go for good enough and get something out there and selling, or you'll spend forever tweaking and never selling.

Think I offered this to you in the past Dad2four but here it is again. You bring me your coding experience I will bring you my marketing experience and we will make a pretty penny together and the offer still stands.

I have many partners I do many things. I am a firm believer in networking and sharing the load, In fact I suggest partners even though it cuts into profits cause its alot less headache if you have the right people working with you.

    Let me know.

I have the "what to do" and I give it away for free. The students that follow me enjoy success similar to my own.
