I have 36 hours and $200 in Paypal...

...how should I spend both to drive as much traffic as possible to my new site? I'm ready to work non-stop around-the-clock for the rest of the weekend and I've got $200 to spend. I need some sales and I need them fast!

What would you do? (I'm assuming some PPC ... but what else?)

Cheers, Rich

P.S. I thought I posted this earlier but it seems to have disappeared...if this is somehow an in appropriate question or against forum rules, please clue me in, but I can't for the life of me understand why? It's an honest question...

It would help for you to include what type of site you have and/or what your offering is.

Well, it's a computer video training site. I did not want to come across as shamelessly promoting my site because that was really not my intention. But you should be able to find a link pretty easily nearby...

hmm you have plenty of options here.. not sure how long PPC would last though.. with that amount you could get a pretty good SEO & backlinks package that would last you a month.

But before you spend any money make sure you check all your options and although you need sales fast take your time to weigh everything up, the last thing you want to do is waste you hard earned money and be stuck without a paddle.

I bet you can find plenty of free solutions around here, so spend as a last resort.

I like the sound of that, can you give me some examples?

You can try article marketings (long term) or you can try to find some sites that are similar to yours and purchase banners ads.

I think PPC is too risky to start with.

I'd advise against using ppc if you want to see a return on you investment. I have just started up on the internet and decided to try ppc I did everything I learned but even just spending $0.10 per click it adds up quickly and even if someone clicks there is too high a chance they will leave without purchasing anything. If your like me and still a beginner on the internet don't use ppc to start off. I don't really have anymore money to invest because of it.

Ok, so if not PPC, what? I realize quick traffic is difficult, but I'm asking - if it's possible, how? (I know it normally takes time for the SE's to start giving a site some love.) I still have my $200 ready to spend.

Ezine Ads? (which ones do you like?)
Bookmarking? (how did you do it?)
RSS Feeds (how do you submit yours - software? manual? outsource?)

    Someone spill the beans.

(Note: I'm not just being greedy here... I think this is information that would be valuable to a lot of Warriors.)

A good way to generate a quick amount of traffic is to purchase and submit a $80.00 press release through PRWeb....

With this press release you can submit your URL directly to the press release and they don't even have to visit your site! The site is automatically delivered and fed to them within your press release!

It's a great way to get online exposure and is well worth your dollars!

I wish I could help. I am a business owner online and offline and every endeavor that I take on has not been something that comes overnight. Based on stats most money makers have either ripped people off or they have done their due dillegence and studied how to make money at what it is that they are trying to do. All I am saying is it usually takes 6 months to a year to get it right in any business. But you have to invest your self into it and know that all the money you put in is an investment into your self and its not a loss until you throw in the towel. If it has worked for someone it will work for you in time. I have an ebook that can help you. However my site is under construction. But once its up and running you may have a copy for free. If you write some interesting content with a catchy title and then submit to all the big social networks like digg and reddit you will see a nice spike in traffic. Might get some conversions.

Join a Giveaway event, become a paid member (about $27), then put your website or book or video training as your one time offer. The last giveaway event I joined I could do 3 things to giveaway (in order to build my list) these were PLR that I had or you could purchase cheaply, 2 OTO for people to buy from me (your item you are selling) and the ads just drive more people to your website or offer.

Contact JV partners and give them a good commission for promoting your product to your list.

Investing $200 on PPC won't last you a day, unless you stumble and use the keywords that web surfers are looking for that day.

I agree that it's too risky.

If you have a freebie, then I would go with ppc. I use ppc to drive traffic to my adsense eCourse. The conversion is over 30%. Time will tell if this translates into paying members. I hope this helps.

Do a google search for competitors in this market or for merchants that
sell similar products and ask them to promote it to their list if they have
one or add it to their thank you pages.

I'll bet you can get 1 out of 10 people that you approach to work with you

i am about to do the same - by driving the traffic to my freebie. at least that way you will have the optins to kepp, and will get your money back over time - if not right away.
having said that - i am a little new to the ppc thing so i am hoping to stretch my money over time with longtail keyword stuff.
hell, if it doesnt work, it is/was a good lesson, and it is just money isnt it?
