Best niches for info products?

The best niche is one that has a market for your product. I produce music. Fairly decently. I created a video course how to produce better music.

It sold well. Reason being it was something I was actually good at doing and there was a market. People who poorly produced music that wanted to get better.

Instead of researching a niche why not ask yourself what you are skillful at doing many people are not and see if there is a market for your product.

"Diets" and "IM/MMO" are MARKETS(and huge) not niches. Dating is a MARKET and "dating for men" is a subcategory.

You are worrying on the competition, which is irrelevant, and this is whats probably stopping you from entering one of these HUGE markets. (mindset problem)

These markets are evergreen, proven moneymakers so there's money to be made in these markets. You need some competition because it means money is being made in the market/niche.

These 3 markets have literally millions of niches/sub niches/microniches... its ridiculous.

What you can do is narrow down your target market and come up with a more specific niche inside that big market. You'll have to dig and dig deeper.

Look, there's fitness(huge market) and there's "home workout for busy dads/moms".

Diets is a huge market which has PLENTY of niches. Here's an example;

"Low-carbohydrate diets for men/women"
"Vitamin C supplementation"
"No carb diets"
"Paleo diet"

Now, you should find a sub niche inside one of those ones or better yet a micro niche. Dig and dig deeper.

There is an old cliche by Confucius "find a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life"

With that being said , ask yourself what you do everyday that you are absolutely good at and make that your passion niche.

But before you go plugging away with your passion niche, I advise for you to learn about marketing online first.

Which is why network marketing online would be my first niche choice due to the amount of skill and knowledge you will learn.

Not to mention you can monetize with affiliate marketing. Once you have mastered that niche then the possibilties to branch out is limitless!

You can go to fitness and be a marketing genius like sixpackshortcuts guy lol.
You can dominate in music niche, cOoking niche etc.

Summary, learn how to market online first then use it as stepping stone for other opportunities

Pick a niche (any niche or market) and fine the soft-spot.

People who are desperate for solutions to problems are always the easiest to sell to.

If you can't find a desperate buyer soft-spot in your niche or market.....move on to something else until you find one

google search How to..play guitar,buy foreclosures, lose weight, make money, get pregnant, make out,write a letter, make origami, download games, download music, get a girl, grow weed and you will have an idea of how many monthly searches for these google broad match keywords. This will give you an idea of best niche for info products.

- health & diseases
- lifestyle
- how to (general stuff, easy to do and very well explained)
- do-it-yourself.

It's easier to grab a niche and then find a specialization in it. For instance, in weight loss there are many different types, such as: weight loss for women, wealthy food weight loss, etc.

This way you can find a niche with less competition. Then, you can write a book for that niche.

I would go with "Get your EX back niche". I know it's saturated and all, but when you are actually trying to get your ex back - you are willing to do everything (buy the ebook).

Conversion rates are quite high in such niches.

From what I can say after my 2 years of experience promoting info products as an affiliate, all of these 3 niches are popular and work well.

Yes, there is a lot of competition...yes, there are scams in all of these niches...but people will always want to look good (Fitness), to make money (IM) and to attract the opposite sex (Dating).

So they will always be willing to pay for products in these niches, as long as they solve their problems and they are presented in a great way (a good selling page).

Lots of good advice here. But one thing to do before you ask the "what niche should I choose" question. Do some serious self-reflection.

1. Ask yourself "what would I like to research for a year, even if I didn't get paid for it? That'll reveal a passion?

Note: You don't always need passion to work in a niche, but it helps a lot when starting out and when "life" happens. Also, when you have passion it's easier to persist through the setbacks, challenges or obstacles while you're getting your swagger (confidence). And your work will be more enjoyable and fun in the meantime.

Plus, having a passion for what you do will help you avoid what I call ...

"The Newbie Bounce" - where a person bounces from one shiny object product or money opportunity to the other.

Most of us have done the "Newbie Bounce", including me, but it's a real time and money waster. So, the more you can avoid it - the quicker your success will come.

3. Next, research that market you're passionate about. See if people are making money in it (that means you'll probably have competition). But that's good as others have said. Lots of healthy competition means people (hot prospects) are paying money to solve the problem. And not just seeking free information on the web.

4) Now all you have to do is find or create a product or service. It should solve an unmet, under-served or overlooked problem no one has quite solved yet or solved as good as you can.

Then get to work on the product or service. Also, this is where you'll want to develop and implement your marketing plan. Which is a different topic.

Note: Most people look for a product and then try to find prospects to buy the product. That's backwards - and extremely risky these days.

Instead ... Find the market, identify the unmet, under-served problem - then find or create the product or service.

If you test this you'll discover your success rate will be much higher.

Hope this gives you something to think about, along with the other excellent advice here.

Don't let the scarcity mindset ruin a good opportunity for you. While Double Your Dating is the 800 pound gorilla in the dating advice for men niche, it's not the only one. Secondly, there is still plenty of opportunity to compete in that highly-competitive niche because it has plenty of new and repeat buyers and there are plenty of product and services to market to people.

How do I know this?

I've been an active dating coach (PUA to some of you out there) for over ten years and have sold a wide variety of dating products and services. I can't tell you how many men I meet who have never heard of Double Your Dating, Mystery, RSD, Neil Strauss (aka "Style"), etc.

It's virtually impossible to saturate this niche. No one single person or company dominates all of the distribution channels. Once you grasp what that really means, you'll understand that there is plenty of room for new marketers to make a good living in this niche; however, you have to know what you're doing and you have to know what your audience really wants.

Don't confuse competition with market saturation. Both of these are two completely different animals. I've been in the dating advice niche for a long time and I do very well under-the-radar doing the following:

I have a great angle (USP - Unique Selling Proposition).
I have my own product line
I also market other people's products
I build a list and I send out e-mail messages twice a week for at least one year.
I market at least 20 other products and services (Match.com, eHarmony, etc. all have affiliate programs, there's no reason not to join these as one example.)
I have a loss leader to obtain leads (though I still get paid to build my list)
I buy traffic and test the crap out of it until it either converts or it doesn't.
I test at least 2 or more traffic sources every single month

Take a look at the MMO (Make Money Online) market. It has hundreds of niches and specialized micro-niches under it's umbrella. It's competitive, but there are plenty of people who are making an extra $1,000 to 5,000 per month who are NOT big named gurus because of the bullet points I just outlined.

One of the fastest ways to test out a niche is to simply go to Clickbank, find a few products, buy traffic and see how that traffic converts. Sure, you need a budget and it's not for the faint of heart, but it is the fastest way to see if something converts and if it's a niche you might want to get into.
