Taking in to much information at once, i learnt to get one project profitable first then build another.

The biggest mistake I made was thinking that I was being told the truth.

It was quite a shock to me when I finally grasped the fact that lies are the stock in trade of the vast majority of internet (online) marketers.

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.
Build it, make money, then build some more

Biggest mistake: trying to master too many things instead of focusing on one thing and putting it into practice.

This is a great answer I find myself just trying to learn everything and not focus on putting what I've learned into action. Once I started to take action I started to see results.

Another is provide value if you do not do this knowone will buy from you or whatever. Provide value and it will go much smoother for you, these are the two biggest things that I've noticed.

Although it helps to lear everything but what with you rather be a jack of all trades master of none or a master of at least one. I say pick whatever 3 traffic generating methods you enjoy to the most and them implement those and don't give and you will see results.

Gosh, I'm glad I'm not the only one with IM ADD.

Yes, I think the biggest problem I've had is jumping from idea to idea. I find so much of IM fascinating and seeing new business models and strategies unfold can be a very addicting hobby that takes away from the actual goal of developing a business.

For the longest time I lacked focus. Jumping from one thing to another and not taking or completing the action needed to be successful. This cost me a ton of money not only from purchasing product after product, but also in revenue I could have realized had I focused much sooner.

So the biggest mistake I ever made was buying the second product. If I had taken proper action on the first product I bought, I would be a much richer man by now.

Making mistakes is part of the learning process - just make sure they are not too costly.

The biggest mistake, by far, I see most make over the years is buying "products" they think will make it easy, or even guaranteed. IM is neither.

Get the fundamentals of business right - the info is out there - and then develop your own strategy - it is the only way, and the way where all the big money is made.

Buying everything that came along, that was supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, and have them sitting on my hard drive - too costly.

Then not focusing on only 1 thing at a time and getting that moving first. Also not outsourcing the easy things that take up too much time, and left me working "In" my business and not "On" my business.

Oh I have made a few mistakes al right, but the learning has been HUGE.

My biggest mistake is jumping into the CPA marketing bandwagon. I'm not saying that CPA marketing is not profitable and I did make some money out of it.

I am doing very well with selling products and site flipping and when I heard about cpa marketers making hundreds of thousands of dollars -- I decided to give it a try. Not only I spent big money learning about CPA marketing -- but also tons of time reading through materials and getting accepted to networks bla bla bla...

And when I spent my time doing all that, I totally neglected site flipping and selling products...and right now, I still suck at CPA marketing.

I guess what I learned is to always focus on whatever you're good at and excel in it.

Biggest mistake I've made... so many to choose from

But seriously, I think the biggest mistake I have made is trying to make money with various schemes instead of building a solid business. Although it lead me to where I am now, I wish I was able to build a business earlier on instead of doing lots of random stuff.

The biggest mistake I made was thinking I could buy a high ticket product and sell it successfully with next to no marketing experience.

And, like MaggieDavid, spending too much money in the beginning...

Hard lessons...and I'm still learning, but doing so free...

Biggest mistake is not having a clear plan of action. I must admit that I have spent the last 6 months buying into products, trying them, not getting the results I wanted and then moving on to the next great income stream!!! But the one thing I have realised is that the problem was not the product/information that wasn't working (although I have wasted alot of money on crap products too!)- the real problem was me You need the right mindset before you can even get off the starting line.
You WILL succeed if you believe you CAN be successful in anything you apply yourself to.

An overload on information and not working a good system or method to it's fullest potential were my biggest mistakes.

I obtained the best results with putting on blinkers (like horses) deleting every new guru e-mail. Just focus, focus and focus on what you're doing.

If you don't see any result after 3 months, analyze and eventually tweak. Also, keep a log about everything you do.

I've suffered from all the classical mistakes(less the buying a lot of products thing):
    Trying to do everything myself
    Wanting to do everything "perfect"
    Jumping from idea to idea
Lacking enough patience to wait for results
Not establishing enough good business relationships

Once I fixed these issues, my business boomed. It's true that most things blocking you from success are mindset issues. Once you fix those it's quite difficult to fail.

Man I can relate to everyone here.....

Lack of focus! buying too many products,
      and no Doing anything!

And lack of consistently taking action on a
      plan until I achieved it.

      Thanks

This is a tough one for me. I have trouble letting go and trusting that others can do it as well as me. I'm getting better but it's taking a long time to trust and take risks in this area.

I can assoiciate with everyone here.

Out of all the mistakes and destractions that come my way, I would have to say that my biggest mistake was that I focused on others businesses and neglected by own.

Great feedback guys. I amazed at just how much many of us have in common as it relates to lack of focus, not having a solid plan, etc.

Not treating this like a job or work, just playing at it when I had "spare" time. The last few days I have decided to work at this like a "job" and put in at least 4-5 hours a day on the internet. It's amazing what I have gotten done and I got my first personal sale yesterday!!! YEAH!! Maybe not much to most here, but a real achievement for me.

I agree 100%. I am lazy by nature, and it is easy to be lazy in this biz. I am getting better at sticking to it though.
