One squeeze page to two different lists. WTF!?

I am in a JV type of arrangement where a single lead capture page feeds two different lists, for two separate marketers, one of whom is myself of course. The first list is actually a shared one where my affiliate links promote many of his products, using his expert copywriting skills.

Getting subscribers to confirm for the 'IM info' second list always seems like a bit of a challenge somehow. Big talking 'oversell' techniques are the temptation. I don't want to go the coyly polite, small-honesty type of route either. Any clues about how to 'seduce' subscribers in to confirming for list #2?

Should I offer marriage, holidays, unlimited treasures from the Orient? Being silly, but this list-building marketing conundrum is ongoing I find.

Anyone? A dozen Krispy Kremes for the best answer!

maybe rotate the initial optin? and have a back up "bonus offer," offering free stuff that links to the 2nd list.

I may not be understanding your problem correctly but there is usually a way to set up a list with a list sharing code. So on aweber if you did that and then gave them the code you wouldn't have to get a second opt in

The fairest way is to have two identical squeeze pages each leading to a thank you/download area.

On "squeeze/thanks set up 1" you would have your list and then the opt-in opportunity of your partner on the thanks page. On "squeeze/thanks set up 2", the roles would be reversed.

Then you equally rotate the two squeezepage links in a rotator.

Great idea! Because I make the lion's share of the profits from both lists, I don't really mind about rotating exposure. Maybe split-testing confirmation emails could be the trick.
