I need an eCover Designer

Hi Guys

I have about 15 new eBooks to add to my site and I need graphics for them all. But I have been struggling to find the right designer to work with.

I will be giving away these books and allowing others to either give them away or sell them, so any images used on the covers need to have the 'correct' rights including Model Release, Property Release etc where appropriate.

The right designer - for me - is not just the one who can offer me a good price, but can also assure me (provide evidence) that the images used can be distributed the way I have described.

If anyone can recommend a Warrior, please post below.

thanks

Will

Before I had my own designer the only guy I used for web graphics was:

Web graphics guru develops graphics for web sites worldwide - Design Guru Ryan

He's a good guy and his work speaks for itself. He never let me down once and his work always exceeded expectations.

I don't know where people got the idea that pictures on book covers
sell books. In many cases they don't, and when shrunk down to
thumbnail size a picture often looks weird and detracts from
comprehension of the words in the title.

I'm serious. Look at real books in print, especially business books -
pictures are rare and covers are designed so the words can be
read from a fair distance because the books are displayed in store
windows and (just like ebooks) as thumbnails in advertisements.

Think about what I am saying. I cannot say this is true for all niches
of ebooks. Go to a bookstore and look at the bestsellers in the
niches you have ebooks in. Emulate the ideas in those covers,
because the people who design them REALLY know what sells
    books.

I'm a cover designer myself as well as a copywriter and have to agree with Loren here.
Pictures CAN reinforce the feeling/message of your book, and should be used if they can FOCUS attention towards the text and title, but never to serve as a "selling" element.

Another thing that I often see - and will soon be a lot stricter about in my dealings with clients - are the 2-3 lines book title. Keep titles short and to the point. It's going to be easier to read and remember. Also you don't want it to get all crammed on your cover and impossible to read....

There are tons of great designers out there, Alex above this post is good, as are countless others (including ourselves)

It sounds to me, like you are wanting great work for a great price, they dont always come hand in hand, I for one know I've never received an email from you so your not looking too hard,

15 quality ecovers with legal graphics (supplied in 4 sizes)

You should be looking to spend around $400 minimum, you will get COUNTLESS quotes for far less, just don't expect the mona liza

    Good luck in your quest
