Buying Products: Are Nigerians Shut Out *Completely*?

Hey Warriors,

I've got a few emails from my subscribers in Nigeria about how they can buy products using Clickbank or Paypal.

As far as I see it, there is no way to do it.

I'm also very wary of anything coming from Nigeria (understandably). But is there a way out for these people who are categorized because of a slimy few?

    I know people who have made legit deals with Nigerians, but PLEASE be careful! I literally got ripped for 12k from a fake buyer from Nigeria.

    When I went to authorites they said there was nothing they could do because apparently Nigeria is exempt in some way from some of the fraud laws that protect the rest of us.

    Another time I got bit by a phishing scam, and a Nigerien took over my alibaba email box and sold $5,000 worth of laptops, collected the money then changed my passwiord back a week later and I had people accusing me for weeks of not sending them their lap top after they paid... it was unbelievable!

    I hate it that some bad apples make the whole bunch look bad... I'm sure it's not always that way, but I have become very leary. I still get buyer requests everyday from Nigeria and dont respond to them. I wonder how much biz I've lost from it...but after you lose 12k you think to yourself "It's better to be safe than sorry".

    PS> unfortunately the only way I know to distinguish the good from bad is to say "wire transfer in advance only", then the scammers fall off, but it happens so much that I just dont bother to respond anymore.

    Be careful.

    There are numerous cons in Nigeria, but most Nigerians are regular people who want to get on the same as everyone else.

    The main issue is that no pay network will accept payments.

    WU or Money Gram is probably the only way - if you get cash that way you are more or less safe.

      That's right. I love people I hate it that this sounds so skeptical, but my optimism has gotten me in trouble regarding these matters.

    For these countries, what you need is a system that's perfectly safe for sellers (you), but not necessarily for buyers.
    Just propose "Western Union", which is available in most poor countries. When they "send" money, you can collect it almost instantly in your local post office. You can then send your info-product to the buyer.
    All you need to provide is your name and address (although I can imagine that some might think this could be unsafe as well)
    I used Western Union a couple of times now and I think it's a top notch and very safe service.
