I am new to SEO field, read a lot about hummingbird , panda and penguin and quite interested in understanding the correct methods for SEO.

How these algos and serch engines differentiate between real human traffic and bots traffic and how we as human can figure out about the legitimity of traffic.

Panda, Penguin changing search engine algorithms, so many users do not pay attention to SEO has been punished more careful in the future to treat this allows us SEO.

Just use Google analytics, if they are just loggin on and exiting after 1 second for all your traffic then they are bots. If they are from Google they will be real visitors, why would google send bots to your site

Hi rdsrocks,
It's simple
Bots traffic : just visit and most of them are direct visits or from specified websites.
Real human traffic : You'll see conversions + Clicks + sales = $$$, and traffic will be coming either from Search engine (SEO benefit), or social sites (facebook/twitter/stumbleupon/youtube ..etc)

Google Analytics Tool is only for analyzing traffic. From Where are visitors coming from, how many times they are repeating, bounce rate and all.
