What's The Best Way to Promote a Multi-Product Site?

I have a client who has a site listing 25 different innovative products.

He wants me to do whatever I can to promote the site.

Personally, I don't think its focused enough. It's like a mini Amazon site.

But, any ideas on the best way to promote such a site?

    The most important question:
    What is the main goal?

    Do you need to promote it to get sells, or to get email optins, or just raw visitors' pageviews?

    The short answer: there isn't one, golden rule for promoting website..

    The methods you can use depend on:
    - budget
    - goals
    - time

    Basically you have 2 main ways of promoting a website:
    #1 Free traffic
    which is basically SEO and ranking in Google
    FB page - if you already have built community there

    #2 Paid traffic
    FB ads
    media buying
    individual deals with websites owners


    Sorry for this basic answer, but your question is to general and all ways of promotion may be considered as good.
    As I said: it depends on your goals, product type, etc.
