You should be able to adjust this based on your email privacy/security settings.

Some email clients automatically block all images and links on the default settings for security reasons.

There should be an option to click and view the images and activate the links.

You may be able to adjust you security settings so images and links are not blocked by default.

Not in this case. I use Chrome.

I get like 6 emails with clickable links and 4 with text links, not clickable.

All in the spam folder is de-activated as you mentioned but not in my inbox.

So I wonder if that is done on purpose and if YES - why?

Check the headers. It may be that the set-up you have doesn't make links in plain text emails clickable.

The specific header you're looking for is the content-type. If it's text-only, that may be the issue.

Edited to correct the header name. It should be content-type, not mime-type.

Yes spam folder links are not clickable now. Maybe Yahoo made it as such to discourage spammers. I checked Aweber's and Jvzoo's links in my Spam folder and they are not clickable but I checked some online drugs link and it IS clickable.

What's going on here?? Yahoo is missing the spammers! Anyways whatever you do try not to get your email into spam folder b/c they are NOT clickable.

  • Gmail deactivates links in emails that go to your spam folder. All you need to do is to change your settings to allow certain senders to go directly to your inbox (or social or promotions) folder,
