How to choose your first email list niche

I'm trying to build my first email list, but I'm spending too much time on the niche research.
I found some niches like Fitness; Aka bodybuilding; that look profitable, but I'm not sure if I can success in this market although I'm new to it. however I will be using free methods to drive traffic to my opt-in page.

What do you think?
Any suggestion for a niche that have buyers ?

I would love to hear your views.

Thank you

Something like fitness is a little too broad. It's definitely a proven market though so find your own niche within that market.

I'm thinking about "building muscle and weight lifting", but I'm not sure if they're still buyers. after all these free products and YouTube videos.

Building muscle and weight lifting are still very broad niches with a lot of heavy competition. You'll have a hard fight getting any traction going into such as large market. Not impossible but hard. That's why drilling down even further into a sub niche is a much better idea to get started.

Example: Instead of just diets you could do diets for pregnant women.

Why not check what's hot at social networks? Create your own product. Maybe start with a low-cost report and scale it up from there. If you play your cards right, you get to build a list while scaling up your income.

  • A good way to determine if a niche is going to be profitable to look at your local magazine rack and see how many magazines there are on you niche.

Then do a search on Google and see how many pages there are on the niche you are thinking about doing.

You can also set up a Google adwords account for free and use the Keyword Planner to see how many people are doing a search per month for your Niche.

You can also use the Keyword Planner to do long tail Keyword searches to better
    target your traffic.
For example [How to lose weight quickly] would give you a better targeted traffic then weight loss.
Lastly look at clickbank marketplace and check out the niches you are thinking about doing and see what the gravity is on these niches.
A gravity of 30+ is pretty good
the higher the gravity the more vendors are making money
with the product you are looking at.
I hope this helps there is no sure fire way to tell what will make you money but this will narrow your risk and at least show you where people are spending the money.
    The most important thing is
DO NOT TO GIVE INTO FEAR TAKE ACTION
AS SOON AS YOU HAVE YOUR FACTS
