What to do with Unauthorized Transactions

Hi, I learnt something GOOD today with a payment gateway. U see, i paid for something online, and the transaction was not honored. So i went back to the payment gateway and asked for help.

This was because the site that i wanted to buy from asked me to close the dispute i lodged at the payment gateway. Luckily i called and got this advise: Don't close the dispute, if you do, that's the last you will see of your payment.

If site is wise, they have to refund. Then the dispute will be closed.

So guys, be warned!

Recently I had a similar situation with Envato. They asked me to close the Paypal dispute (one I opened after they continued to ignore my support tickets). They went as far as closing my Envato accounts (audio jungle, themeforest, etc.) when I declined to close the dispute.

They did end up closing my account and I lost pre paid credits I had inside that account.

Anyways, if that's the way these companies want to do business... that's on them. I'll take my business somewhere else. I spend 100's on such services a year, and there are plenty others out there that will give me far greater customer service.

Thanx Listhoven for the sharing. Wonder what else we can do to make unhealthy sites understand the simple law of doing business: Integrity.

You raise a dispute with the payment gateway.Hopefully, they will refund it within a week.I had also faced similar kind of issue once, then immediately I raised a complaint and I got my money bank.
